DaveUF, do you think he'll be drinking a can of Coke when they shoot him in the face?

2004-04-19 12:51:04 AM
Maybe they will think we are offering a trade

Jackson for the hostages. They can keep him as long as they want.

Now that I think about it...makes me think of Dave Chappelle

Terrorists just don't take black hostages. They ring up the White House: "We've got Five black hos..." **Click** "Hello? Hello?"

Please Robson,
Jesse Jackson isn't worth the tampon that Ann Coulter throws away.

2004-04-19 12:53:33 AM
It might be a little silly, but at least he's trying to be constructive. I guess. It could be worse, we could just be bombing them...

2004-04-19 12:54:29 AM
I hope Jesse has the, inspiration, to talk to the hostage takers, otherwise, he may be in for some, perspiration. And when standing face to face with them for consultation, let's hope they don't think, castration.

</is it Jesse or is it Cajun Man>

Isn't this more like a job for Lewis Farrakhan than Jessie Jackson?

2004-04-19 12:55:06 AM
It would be better if Jackson and Sharpton went over there.

And stayed.

Forever.

2004-04-19 01:01:34 AM
He has done it before it was pretty impressive then.

2004-04-19 01:01:47 AM
Tomcat1108 - I'll take that as a, "yes, we conservatives love that low-hanging fruit, yes we do!"

2004-04-19 01:02:05 AM
He's going to that war-torn nation
and hoping that his negotiation
well aid in the facilitation
of the terrorists' abdication
in this delicate situation.

Though the times will be quite stressful
that he may not be successful
And if you take a guess, you'll
find that I don't give a crap.

Great. Just what we need.

Soon to appear on the "pay attention to me" asshat wagon will be;

Rev. Al Sharpton
Oprah
Ferricon
Wren and Stimpy??

If Jesse gets killed during this, will Americans be pissed or thankful?

/I'm not really sure myself

I wish that I had Jesse's girl

About as many as jesse jackson has....unless you consider Ben Franklin a hostage

Do I get credit for releasing my own hostages?

2004-04-19 01:34:11 AM
Before you ignorantly bash him:

1984, Jackson secured the release of captured Navy Lieutenant Robert Goodman from Syria, and the release of 48 Cuban and Cuban-American prisoners in Cuba

1990, he was the first American to bring hostages out of Kuwait and Iraq

1999 Jackson negotiated the release of U.S. soldiers held hostage in Kosovo

And here are some off topic issues helped brought to the front by Jackson:

national health care
a war on drugs
direct peace negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis
ending apartheid in South Africa
Democracy in Haiti

Jackson's two presidential campaigns broke new ground in U.S. politics. His 1984 campaign registered over one million new voters, won 3.5 million votes, and helped the Democratic Party regain control of the U.S. Senate in 1986. His 1988, campaign registered over two million new voters, won seven million votes, and helped boost hundreds of state and local elected officials into office. Additionally, this civil rights leader won an historic victory, coming in first or second in 46 out of 54 primary contests. His clear progressive agenda and his ability to build an unprecedented coalition inspired millions to join the political process.

Fark Jesse Jackson.

2004-04-19 01:37:21 AM
The real question is not how long it will take for him to get the hostages out, it is how long it will take him to blame white America for the hostage situation and make the kidnappers seem like the real victims.

2004-04-19 01:38:29 AM
Great.. thats all we need is another guy over there that hates white people.

2004-04-19 01:38:50 AM
In addition, Jesse Jackson can cure blindness with dolphin-song, travel through time to Renaissance Italy, and is also Master of the Pan flute.

It's amazing how ignorant Farkers can be just to so how kewl they are in bashing Jesse, despite that he has done this THREE times in very improbably situations, but don't let facts and the truth get in the way of making your small dick feel bigger.

As long as we can save one soldier then the other 700 were worth it.

Everytime Jesse saves a hostage, a Farker's dick gets smaller.

Couldn't it be considered treason to negotiate with the terrorists after the administration said that we are not going to? After all this is an administration that doesn't even appear to want to discuss situations with potential allies and sees no problem imprisoning its own citizens indefinately for the slightest provocation.

2004-04-19 01:44:50 AM
I know he's done some "questionable" things before (besides affairs), but can anyone here who has bashed him name somehing he's done that was so bad? Anything?

2004-04-19 01:47:35 AM
He ran around with blood on his shirt for a week or so after Dr. King was assasignated, claiming that the blood was that of the beloved cival rights leaders until somone made him stop doing it.

2004-04-19 01:50:20 AM
I know he's done some "questionable" things...

But also amazing things. Revel in your time, Jesse.

2004-04-19 01:52:15 AM
Why don't we just go with the Reagan Dochrine and give the terrorists some missiles already?

2004-04-19 01:52:23 AM
Let him DO IT.

Christ, the man is good at what he does.
Not sure what that is, but he's made it work in some tough corners.

2004-04-19 01:55:49 AM
Jesse is the moral lubricant that eases the friction in these uncomfortable hostage standoffs.

Robarahz I know he's done some "questionable" things before (besides affairs), but can anyone here who has bashed him name somehing he's done that was so bad? Anything?

Well, somehow he negotiated the release of his fetus from his mom's womb. That should be enough to get him sentenced to death.

Let's send Johnny Cochran with him.

He shakes down companies. Texaco caved, and I think Toyota too. NASCAR told him to piss off.

It's obvious that you Jackson-bashers wouldn't be screaming for Jesse's head if he wasn't a Reverend.

Anti-religious bigots.

He's a farking idiot...let him go over there, one less tool to listen over mass media. We should tell Bill O'Reilly they are being "unamerican" over there as well and kill 2 birds with one stone

He might be able to pull it off. As a black preacher, peace-activist type, he's famous as in foreign countries as an American who opposes the sort of stuff that the U.S. government gets up to. So he's got "cred" with groups fighting the U.S., as it were.

He's probably more popular outside the U.S. than in it... actually, I think that happens a lot. I've heard that even Mother Theresa was far better liked outside of Calcutta than she was there.

I am a libertarian/republican and I LIKE Jesse Jackson. I don't agree with him on much, but I have to admire his brazen attitudes. The guy may not have class, but he has a smoothness about him that I admire. Sure, he's a whore- but he is effective at it, and he's a first class whore in worsted wool suits that go for 3k a pop.
I disagree that there should be a "white tax" to pay for the past sins of slaveholding. My family moved here in 1899. How am I responsible for it? Why should I pay for it? I never attended those mysterious meetings where all the white people gather together to discuss how to keep the black man down. I had the flu. My dog was sick. My car broke down.

But Jesse has singlehandedly poked white america where poking was sorely needed. If it wasn't for him, people might have forgotten to be conscious of the biases and preconcieved notions that exist in all of us. I applaud him for that, his good intentions in that endeavor, and the shiatload of money he's gotten from other people for it.

Look, at my core, I am a racist. I acknowledge that within me are preconcieved notions gathered from a childhood in rural PA. They are wrong notions, and while I still harbor some of them, if I am conscious of that fault, in part because of Jesse, I can overcome acting on them or treating others unfairly. I think if more whites, blacks, latinos, etc. would consciously accept that we harbor these feelings, we can all stop giving them any control over our actions.

Don't bash Jesse. He loves attention, but he realizes that as long as he stays in the limelight, his organization gains prominence. That means he gets the ears of congressmen, senators, etc. They listen to those with fame 1000X more than they would an ordinary citizen. That's just how the "elite" of this country operate. He knows it too.

If Jesse can bring home ONE American, Italian, Spaniard, Australian, Pole, or Belgian, I would be first in line to shake his hand and say thank you.

racketeering-

A person who commits crimes such as extortion, loansharking, bribery, and obstruction of justice in furtherance of illegal business activities.

/just a thought

Yeah, screw those hostages. If it means having Jesse Jackon in the spotlight, just let them die. It just isn't worth it, right?

I bet Jesse Jackson has a big penis. Because he's black.
