best headline ever

After reading the article, I have only one question: is the sinkhole well-lubricated?

Because if it is, I believe I have the right stuff to fill it, if only for about 7 minutes -- of course, preparation may take up to an hour, depending on how much foreplay the sinkhole prefers.

Translation of the song Donslice put up. As a Japanese knowing South Park fan.

It's a wonderful penis
with golden ball hair
Is that the sound of a sarubobo?
No! It's the ninjas!

Hey hey let's go fight!
It's Important: protect my balls!
I am bad, so let's fighting...
Let's fighting love!
Let's fighting love!

This song is a little stupid
It doesn't make any sense
Its English is farked up
It's okay! We do it all the time

Still haven't seen a good "layman"s definition of a sink hole.

Sink holes occur when underground erosion causes a "hollow" place to form near the surface of the ground. When the ground collapses into this hollow place, you have a sink hole. Sink holes vary in size from "too small to notice", to "big enough to swallow entire buildings".

The underground erosion can be caused by many things, but probably the top two are limestone dissolving away, and sand washing away into a nearby cave or mine (what happened here).

Oh wow, here I am browsing Fark and seeing an article that looks mighty familiar... Sure enough it's my home town (and yes, there's still snow on the ground... stupid spring just won't kick in).

Had a chance to check out the hole yesterday, pretty scary stuff. Being a mining town, there's old tunnels all over the place, most filled with sand after being abandoned; and with all the snow thawing, there's alot of water thats making its way underground and eroding that sand.

That small picture doesn't do it justice, that hole is BIG.

This is my hometown also.

A sinkhole or subsidence is caused when fill used to replace ore taken out of the mines subsides causing everything above it to cave in.

This mine used to fill with sand. As the mine floods, the sand washes away and the sinkhole occurs.

These have happened numerous times over the past few years. The golf course which is situated 1/4 mile east of this hole, has had quite a few over the years. They make for great bunkers.
