I like Colin Quinn; his humor has some rough edges you don't normally see on slick Twenty-0's TV. If Whoopi could make him a regular on her (weak, "smooth-edged") show, even to help write it, there could be some great chemistry.

But I agree he made Weekend Update a travesty - he looked overtly like a comedian editorializing on a news set. SNL needs to use a guy (or babe) who can ACT in that role.

Why is that show still on the air? ...please, make it stop.

I saw the show last night and it was extremely funny. After it was over I was thinking I need to watch this more often. Chappelle and Daily Show are also funny, but Tough Crowd is better ! SouthPark is still the funniest show on Comedy Central.

I feel sorry for Jon Stewart every time he has to beg people to "stick around for Quinn." at the end of The Daily Show.

It's not that he's just unpolished...its almost painful to watch. I like the format of the show, but Quinn needs to stick to writing.

Tough crowd is great. They just need to get of that one rather large African American guy. I forgot his name, but he is incredibly vicious on any issue and tries to hog the show.

The show reminds me of some of the flamewars on here. Heh. Still, i wish The Colin Quinn Show(on NBC) was back on the air. A better format.

I have to agree that chapelle is 100x funnier than tough crowd. However, I don't think quoting that line is going to convert anyone. While that episode was probably in my top 10 funniest tv half-hours of all time, without the context and having seen the episode, "what did the five fingers...." is probably the least funny joke in the world.

The funny thing is, tons of ppl in the comedy business love Quinn. His delivery is surprisingly rough and mushmouthed even after 20 yrs in the business, but he's apparently a hell of a nice guy. I've heard from non-celeb ppl who live in Hell's Kitchen that he's one of those guys who still 'hangs out' in that neighborhood.

If Whoopi could make him a regular on her (weak, "smooth-edged") show. I'd rather see Whoopi as a regular on Tough Crowd... she's better when she can throw down. I'd like to see an episode where the guests are her & Wanda Sikes v. Adam Ferrara & Jimmy Kimmel :~)

I like Quinn, even tho he makes me cringe to watch him try to talk (I was really glad they dumped him from Weekend Update... IMHO WU is the best it's ever been with Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon).
