Link farked,
But honestly, who hasn't done a number with duct tape?

Back around 1981, when I was a high school freshman, there was some kind of "duct tape revolution" at my school. Very ingenious, actually, and nothing you could get away with nowadays. After creating a sort of secret society that wore duct-tape armbands for a few weeks, a bunch of seniors kidnapped the school president and maybe some others, then actually duct-taped them to flag poles, the parking lot, etc. They held one guy for some ridiculous ransom of "2000 1974 pennies" or something. I don't remember how it all ended, but no arrests and good fun all around.

Um....busted link????

Does this mean they'll get a commendation from the Department of Homeland Security?

2004-03-16 12:59:26 AM
farked already?

As an aside, duct tape isn't cheap, you know. Not if you buy the good stuff, anyway. You can pay 10 bucks a roll or more.

Heh. 10th grade, my friend and I went out for Halloween (I don't care if I'm "too old" for that crap), and he was "Duct-Tape Man", and I was "The Stupendous Leopard Kid." For simply duct-daping around his midsection and arms, rendering him barely able to move, and having me don a foam leopard mask and cart around a stuffed leopard, we made a serious killing with our loot.

Duct tape makes for good times.

But honestly, who hasn't done a number with duct tape?

I had a friend in the military. A new guy joined their operation (supply or something). He was so anal retentive that they duct taped him to a chair and left him overnight.

And I mean duct taped. 3 roles. 2 eye holes and a snot drip/breathing slot. Everything else - duct taped. No exposed skin.

I wonder if it hurt when the MP's unwrapped him?

The site itself is down.

kaBOOM

10 bucks a roll???

Where are you buying your tape from? NASA?

Did someone say "Duct Tape Superheroes?"

Duct tape is like the Force: It has a light side and a dark, and it holds the Universe together.

2004-03-16 01:06:33 AM
yeah, duct tape is the shiat, forget all these date rape drugs and what have you. Back in my day some duct tape and a jar of Vaseline is all you needed.

2004-03-16 01:07:16 AM
ace hardware, waterproof, black, extra wide, extra cloth strands or something

2004-03-16 01:09:27 AM
In all my random home repairs, I have yet to come across these "ducts" which must be taped. Yet I still manage to go through multiple rolls of the stuff (and keep one in the car -- just in case).

I used it to tape the joints in the padding/vapor barrier beneath my laminate flooring. Has anyone ever used it to tape ducts?

Man, that didn't take too long to get farked.

You got to wonder what kind of crap-assed hosting some of these people have when even the crap-assed of crap-assed hosting I've got on my website is able to withstand a good farking without rolling over like a biatch.

Freshman year of college... There was a really farking annoying kid that lived at the end of my hall. He thought he was was something worth a shiat.

One night (raed: 4am), after he messed with some stuff in my room, me and a bunch of other guys (some who were fed up, some who just wanted to have fun) raided his room for sharp objects, and then covered his doorway with duct tape. Completely. Solid wall. We wrote some stuff on it, and signed our names (we feared not the retribution of the RA's, besides, they woulda been down with it and helped us if we had asked).

We posed in front of it, and took some pictures, and shot a quick video, just for documentation, and then decided to wake him up. We leaned on his doorbell (in every room in my dorm, there's a doorbell that flashes a strobe in the room, because this school is also the National Institute for the Deaf. Yay) for like a half hour before he woke up.

The window was situated in his room in such a way that as the door opened, his shadow was cast on the duct tape, and we could see him just standing there. He was just staring.

Finally, the RA took pity on him, and cut him out. What did he say about the whole ordeal? "When I opened the door, I thought I had woken up in another dimension." Best "prank" I've ever done.

Actually, to tape hot air ducts, you need the foil stuff. Regular duct tape drys and cracks. The foil stuff also makes great shielding for electronic stuff, like guitars.

Only gringos use duct tape. Gaffer tape is the real deal.

2004-03-16 01:20:52 AM
I wonder how well that would go over if they used the new Transparent Duct Tape
