2001-12-18 05:46:16 PM
This was funded by either CHOA (Crackheads of America) or every drug cartel in the world.

I hate you crackheads.
2001-12-18 05:46:40 PM
They had to do a lot of retesting.
Getting max-blazed for science gives new meaning to "double blind".

I did coke before I did pot, so does that mean coke leads to pot?
2001-12-18 05:50:15 PM
HD: Nah, not stoned, just open to the truth.

There are 300 ?coffee shops? in the city where cannabis is freely available.

Freely available... wow
2001-12-18 05:55:34 PM
See Mom... I told ya so!
2001-12-18 05:57:03 PM
I'm riding high right now myself. As far as the article, no shiat, the whole idea of "gateway drugs" is purely propaganda.
2001-12-18 05:57:37 PM
Um ... pot's pretty much a gateway drug ... not for everyone, just most people who end up doing harder drugs

- guy who started w/ pot and then did everything from acid to coke to heroin ... but that's ok, 'cause it was all part of an experiment .. er.. a "case study"

I guess it's also fair to say that the personality-types that would try one drug are of course usually the same that would try any other .. so if you do both, it could just be coincidence ... but there's no denying that extremes become less extreme when you take the steps in between them
2001-12-18 06:02:40 PM
Anything can be described as a "gateway" but it's dependent on the personality and genetic makeup of the user. Odds are many of the people who go into heavy drugs would be there without pot. It's the nature of the beast.

Don't blame a non-physically addictive drug for the use of cocaine, heroin, PCP, etc.

I've been smoking it for 20 years now and there is nothing wrong with me, me, me, me, me, me......
2001-12-18 06:10:41 PM
Actually, the study only took 5 years, but those involved got sleepy...
2001-12-18 06:11:13 PM
Pot's a gw drug because its illegal, not the other way around.
2001-12-18 06:11:33 PM
Pot can even help junkies to stop "hard" drugs. Atleast thats what came out of a recent medical study.
2001-12-18 06:12:39 PM
my buddy darius acts like a little biatch when he runs out of weed.

imagine Cartman.... except chronically smoking weed...

WHAT?? you guys are outta WEED?? you guys are HELLA LAME! screw you guys... i'm goin home.

that's dare.
2001-12-18 06:15:43 PM
It took them the ten years of first-hand "testing" to figure that out.
2001-12-18 06:18:10 PM
Actually, KunDomo, it can help quit smoking cigarettes. You just packed the bat every time you feel like having a butt. Not that I would know from experience or anything...
2001-12-18 06:18:23 PM
legalize, legalize, legalize.

Oh, wait. can't. Put prison guards out of work.

Never mind.
2001-12-18 06:18:35 PM
Yeah, everything's funny on pot isn't it.
2001-12-18 06:20:53 PM
Bat as in basball?
2001-12-18 06:22:43 PM
forgot the "e" there..
2001-12-18 06:22:59 PM
pot is a gw drug because it's illegal that part is true if it was freely available like amsterdam there would be no exposure to harder drug when you are trying to get pot. so pot would cese to be a gw.
another point pot can be psychologicaly adictive. in the case of Sdystyk's friend. I have a friend like that too. but than anything can be psychologicaly addictive. I addictied to the internet.
2001-12-18 06:24:00 PM
Bat as in Dugout.
2001-12-18 06:24:11 PM
He said "load the bat".............
I got a free one (full!) once cuz' the shop owner felt bad when I lost mine, skiing, when I came off a huge mogul.
2001-12-18 06:27:14 PM
weed is nothing like 'hard drugs'. everything is prone to abuse but if people arent satisfied with what weed gives them then maybe they should be looking at fixing their own lives before they try to escape into 'hard drugs'.

hard drugs are for people that are cryin for help.
2001-12-18 06:31:12 PM
You KNOW it took them 10 YEARS because they were so farkIN' STONED they kept forgetting what they were supposed to be DOIN'!! Hell, I bet they would have gone ANOTHER 10 years if they thought* they could have gotten AWAY WITH IT! Wouldn't you? There are things in this world that are a LOT more "evil" than "da devil weed."

* thought - a relative term
2001-12-18 06:33:01 PM
you lost your bat skiing off a mogul? huh? wha?

It really seems that the point of how dangers marijuana use has little effect on regulation. If there was a clear-cut way for tax dollars to roll in from it, and an easy way to test recent usage for offenders while driving, it wouldn't be a problem.
2001-12-18 07:00:19 PM
Of course that gateway crap is propaganda. Weed is pretty damn harmless if you ask me. Compare it to alcohol, a legal drug, which causes thousands of deaths a year. Don't get me wrong, I love booze too, but...well you get the point.

I guess if you could buy pot pills, it would be the healthiest pleasure drug on earth, next to raw sex, but you cant buy that in jars either...
2001-12-18 07:06:59 PM
Ill stick to boobies...
2001-12-18 07:25:50 PM
Pot is a so-called gateway drug because it happens to be the easiest drug to get. I believe that crackheads were destined to be crackheads but pot was the first thing they could get their hands on. I wonder when pot will lose the title to ecstacy...
2001-12-18 07:44:23 PM
Some quotes from Mr. Jellineck in the pot episode of Strangers With Candy.

"Yeah, I used to get high. I had just moved here, and my plugs weren't taking, my parents were brutally murdered, and I was fat. So I turned to pot. But the only thing pot fixed... was my life."

"You may know it by its ancient Dutch name, mari-hoo-ana. I know what the scientists say, that it's non-addictive with no side effects. But scientists don't smoke pot. We do. And that's the difference."

"If you're gonna smoke pot, be prepared to spend a lot of time laughing with your friends. Think about it."

Just took that long to get down from their weird ass gov't. grown Super Pot high. Whee.
