Why farm them? Heck, you could probably satisfy the US's entire demand by just rounding up the strays in southern Florida.

Hell, there are probably enough put to sleep becaus the owner didn't know their 4" baby iguana grows to be a 5 foot monster. I've rescued several from such a fate.

Yuk...iguanas are like the rats of Mexico. Although I must say I'm not surprised that they're popular with Asian diners, those people eat everything that moves. At the wedding in China last week, I managed to avoid the raw crab, that was a relief. And since nobody was there to tell me which meat was which, I avoided all the red meat since you never know which one is the dog.

Just for the record, this iguana-eating shiat is some Salvadorian thing, not something done throught Central America like the jackass in the article claims. I never heard of such crap in Guatemala.

Geographical tip for rednecks & idiotic submitter: Salvador is a completely different country outside of mexico. Mexico's not mentioned anywhere in the article. So at least RTFA before showing off the quality of your inbred gene pool's stereotypical mindset about all spanish people.
