and I continue not caring about their lives beyond their abilities to act and entertain me.

I am absolutly certain that none of my clients care about my life beyond my ability to do my job for them - why should actors be any different.

"He was also said to be taking hits from a friend's blunt (marijuana cigar) before leaving at 5 a.m."

They make 'em in cigars these days? Well, ding my dong; Jeeves, to Cuba!

Is Fark merging with E! Online today?

For a small fee of $50,000 I will dispose of each and every person who pisses you off, no questions asked.

People with F$%#ed up lives are prime business opportunities.

No kidding. An Ashton Kutcher story would complete the E! trifecta.

They have bigger problems than their lives, like what the hell were the writers of that series thinking last season and how will they (the writers) screw up what should have been one of the best cable series ever.

Since this is the last we'll see of most of them, they better squeeze what they can out of it.

2004-03-01 10:47:28 AM
Most likely they were referring to Phillie's Blunts terrible cigars but far more useful in other ways

slo news day

2004-03-01 10:55:29 AM
Awwww whine, biatch and moan. Everyone has stuff going on in their lives. Who the hell cares of the troubles of actors/actresses? They have enough $$ to make themselves happy.

$$ does not = happiness, I know, but geesh, if you can't help yourself (therapy, etc.) with the kind of $$ these people make, then they deserve it.

/tired of Hollywood, Cable TV, Radio and any other media

2004-03-01 10:55:29 AM
Just to join in with the mention of the slow news thing (and now fear being baninated today), I submitted an article about the Jesus Chainsaw Massacre doing great box office. Is this not newsworthy???

2004-03-01 10:56:38 AM
Well, I don't think quite as messed up.

2004-03-01 10:58:55 AM
But, according to a report, last year the bad-boy star was spotted drinking a vodka and cranberry juice at a New York club, even though he's underage.

Ha ha, Robert Iler is a girl-drink drunk.

2004-03-01 10:59:01 AM
Yes, please tell me what these actors are doing in their real lives, because it is relevant and important!

real news and actual issues surrender

Actors screwed up? STOP THE PRESSES!

2004-03-01 11:05:00 AM
Slow news day? I submitted about five stories last night, and not a one, or similar version, has made it. There was the story about the BB gun sniper in St. Petersburg, the guy who torched his SUV at the Maui airport...good stuff.

I stopped caring a long time ago... Not having HBO trivializes things others find terribly important.

PS - anybody else think Lorraine Bracco's kids are hot???

threadjacking: i'm embarrased to say it, but even "The View" has ripped off Fark. They're doing the Italian pet pampering story. it's bad enough Kimmel does it, but now star jones too. is there no decency?!?!?

...can't wait for sopranos, nice promo poster for the new season "Hell Hath no fury like family"

2004-03-01 11:18:21 AM
Wow. Actors have problems. No shiat? Divorce? Infidelity? Psychosis? I thought only us little people and the great unwashed had those problems. I'm crushed.

2004-03-01 11:18:30 AM
Nice twist barjockey, but I believe Hillary (among others) disagrees with parts of Iraq's proposed constitution, which would prevent women from holding high political office in Iraq. And then there is the whole "free elections" in Iraq....let's not even start with that shiatball

Paul Bremer can lick my gooch

A "Cape Cod" (vodka, cranberry) is hardly a girly drink. Cape Cods are a well respected cocktail among many well-to-do's and businessmen.

/drinking questions? Ask barjockey.

While we're at it, I'm sick of Jimmy Kimmel. He's a HACK who got famous from his 1 brilliant idea (The Man Show). Crank Yankers is ripped from Jerky Boys and his fat, untalented ass is getting more and more credit for the same old shtick he's been selling since before it was his to sell.

/Having said all that... the new Man Show sucks without him and Adam

No, I wouldn't consider that a girl drink. Similarly, Jack & Coke is not girl drink. I dunno about gin & tonic... The thing that makes a Cape Cod (vodka & cranberry) a girl drink is the fruit juice -- though not all girl drinks contain fruit juice, necessarily (see: Long Island Ice Tea).

What the...Pavarotti?...oh...*yawn*

2004-03-01 11:21:51 AM
I agree that Vodka/Cranberry is not a girly drink. If it was, then a screwdriver isn't much better... Now if you start adding OJ and peach schnapps and fuzzy umbrellas, you're venturing into Femme territory...

2004-03-01 11:27:28 AM
Wow... Meadow sure grew up from the 1st season (only time I ever watched). I thought that poor girl would have unfortunate looks her whole life! I'm glad to see unlimited capital can still mold you into a physically attractive person... usually...

Yes, and there is the occasional "businessman-fudgepacker" but I was speaking in general terms. Vodka is a liquor that generally needs to be mixed with a sour juice to bring out the vodka-ness of it. Vodka on the rocks; no good. Bourbon and whiskey; different story.

2004-03-01 11:35:10 AM
What teh hell was Edward James Olmos doing in Hollywood? He hasn't made a movie in years? Has he? Yeah, that's some good talent there Mr. Olmos. And he's an accused kiddie toucher.

i goto this bar in windsor ontario with 1 dollar (canadian) mixed drinks on friday and saturday nite, until 11 or so. I can drink 20 of thoes easy for like 30 bucks, with tip

OK. Need to dissect this baby (nothing better to do). You're all wet here. Jack n Coke is much more of a girl drink than Cape Cod. I'm used to them being referred to as "high-schoolers" (any older farkers remember that?) Jack Daniels, being a whiskey, is tasty straight up. Mixing it with a soda like coke, degrades the whiskey greatly. This is usually a practice among minors and small women (that can't handle alot of alcohol) that don't like the harshness of whiskey and/or bourbon.

Of course, it also depends on the room. If you were to go into a working man's bar and order a Cape Cod, you may as well be ordering a "Strawberry Alley Cat" (ha ha). Likewise, attempting to order a Pabst with whiskey might get you a lot of strange looks at the country club.

With alcohol - extra $$$. Seriously, they probably just touch the cup with the liquor bottle, or at most, a thimble full of booze in that pineapple-orange juice.

2004-03-01 11:43:07 AM
Sorry, you HAVE TO ASK if anything with gin in it is a girl drink?

A Tom Collins is a douchebag hipster/gay bachelor playboy drink but that is about as wussified as gin gets.

Gin makes a man mean.

2004-03-01 11:43:18 AM
Yeah, I hear that lots of guys these days are drinking 'Cape Codders'. Sipping on craberry juice and some vodka is an absolutely fabulous way to celebrate your marriage to your new life partner.

/sarcasm

2004-03-01 11:44:44 AM
nah there full shot drinks, I used to work there, so i know my drinks are full....I asked the guy how he makes a profit, says one shot cost 84 cents, and beers are 3 bucks, so he makes enough on thoes and other drinks to afford the 1 dollar mixed drinks

I take offense to your disparaging comments about Jack-n-Coke. I love Jack-n-Coke, Rum-n-Coke (Bacardi... and Cola... They-get-the-job-done), Crown-n-Coke, etc...

It's a nice change-of-pace sometimes.

/latest cheap thrill is Canadian Whiskey and Gingerale
