Pistol-whip him one for Y. Dload!

2001-12-14 08:49:02 PM
Yeah, smack that biatch up!

2001-12-14 08:49:08 PM
Mmm...pistol whip.

One for me too.

2001-12-14 08:53:21 PM
Give him a good nutshot from the good old USA

2001-12-14 08:55:41 PM
So if fighting for a group of people BEFORE we've decided they're evil makes someone a traitor ...

Then does giving that group hundreds of millions of dollars a few months before deciding they're evil make the person who gave them the money evil?

Yes? No?

2001-12-14 09:00:17 PM
Ummm... can I use a lifeline?
*smacks self in head over stupid reference to a show that nobody cares about anymore*

2001-12-14 09:01:26 PM
Not if they promise to stop being evil (exporting opium) in exchange.

2001-12-14 09:02:15 PM
I have another question for Cyberpunk relating to his bio: If hating fb- is one of the reasons you give for not being a liberal, then why do you claim that his arguments all involve right-wing rhetoric?

2001-12-14 09:10:39 PM
Let me answer a question with a question: what does claiming some right-wing psychopath's opinions are all rhetoric have anything to do with not being a liberal?

2001-12-14 09:15:07 PM
Fighting for them AFTER they have been declaired evil does make you a traitor- remember, he was found in a POW camp well after hostilities began. His approval of the World Trade Center attacks (yeah, he did say that during interrogation) is damning enough. As much as it chafes me to sound Reaganesque, Johnny Taliban Walker (notice how he dropped the Islamic name after his capture?) and the people he served are Evil.

2001-12-14 09:17:12 PM
Feed him to the sharks and be done with it

2001-12-14 09:25:10 PM
...Johnny Taliban Walker (notice how he dropped the Islamic name after his capture?) and the people he served are Evil...

Quit watching CNN. Obviously, we have no idea if he's dropped his Islamic name or not. The media calls him John Walker ... who knows (or cares) what John Walker calls himself?

I'm not saying I agree with him. I'm not saying what he did was a good choice. I'm not saying what he did was all cool and stuff. I'm saying there are too many people out there ready to condemn and judge based SOLELY on the testimony of CNN. Jesus-phucking-Christ, are we THAT stupid?

2001-12-14 09:25:31 PM
He's probably stressed out and needs some R&R. I think he'd like to do some water skiing behind the boat for a couple hours... or days...
Is keelhauling still allowed?

2001-12-14 09:27:28 PM
I wonder if sales of Johnny Walker whiskey have dropped because of this.

2001-12-14 09:35:29 PM
Cyberpunk: he was an al-Qaida fighter. So yes, he was a member of an orginization that was at war with the US and is therefore a traiter.

FPS: Keelhauling definitely sounds like a good idea to me...

2001-12-14 09:38:12 PM
Just put him in "general quarters" on the ship, and lose track of him for a few days. See what parts are eventually recovered.

2001-12-14 09:40:10 PM
I wonder if his CIA handlers have de-briefed him yet?

2001-12-14 09:45:46 PM
Cyberpunk, when did he join up to fight for the Taliban? I honestly don't know.

Anyway, just because he joined before Sept. 11 when "everyone" knew the Taliban was evil, they were still responsible for some "evil" things. They had executed attacks on America before. The first bombing of the WTC, the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole, etc. The only thing is, no one seemed to care until the spectatularly disastrous day in Sept.

He condoned the attacks, anyway. I think that's enough to condemn him. I bet we still give him American rights, even though he renounced his citizenship, just because we're nice.

I hope I didn't just start a flamewar. I just want to know when he joined up.

2001-12-14 09:47:03 PM
Oh, and I don't watch any TV, either. I learned everything I ever needed to know from Fark. :)

How can Rei be posting here if she's a prisoner on that boat?

Sod-a-dog - ...he was an al-Qaida fighter. So yes, he was a member of an orginization that was at war with the US and is therefore a traiter.

Quick1 - ...knew the Taliban was evil... The first bombing of the WTC, the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole, etc.

You guys have your references mixed up. John Walker was a Taliban foot soldier. Al-Quaida is the organization headed by Usama Bin Laden. THEY ARE NOT ONE AND THE SAME. Yes, the head of the Taliban supports Al-Quaida. Yes, Al-Quaida has given money to the Taliban. But they are not the same group. Confusing them is like calling the United States' soldiers in Afghanistan "Al-Quaida fighters" because we gave the Taliban $250 million last May for their "anti-Opium" policy shift. It's absurd.

Quit watching CNN and think for yourself. All the evidence is out there - all the stories are out there. Don't let the liberal/conservative talking heads on TV make up your minds for you. And for God/Allah/Jebus' sake, get your political organizations right.

Quick1 - Cyberpunk, when did he join up to fight for the Taliban?

According to his own words, BEFORE September 11th. A long time before in fact. He traveled to Pakistan to study nearly two years ago. And it was sometime after his arrival in Pakistan that he became interested (misguided or not) in the Taliban's ideals of a Pure Islamic State.

S_cary - His approval of the World Trade Center attacks (yeah, he did say that during interrogation) is damning enough.

Do you have a link to a transcript of an interview wherein he said this? I've heard a lot of media-worshippers claiming this EXACT thing lately and no one has been able to tell me exactly WHERE they heard it. So please, fill me in.

Oh man! not the same shiat from this afternoon!!!
Everyone get a double Johnny Walker on the rocks and come back and start posting!

2001-12-14 09:59:34 PM
Fb-, maybe they have access to Fark in the brig, too. ;)

2001-12-14 10:01:17 PM
If I can't land myself in the brig of a Navy ship and still have access to Fark, then the lesbians like boobies.

2001-12-14 10:02:26 PM
Hey FB
1. If you were able to ask John Walker a question over fark what would you ask him?

2. If you were alone in a room with him with no protection, would you ask him the question?

2001-12-14 10:04:30 PM
Put Walker on in the Fark chat room so we can all take a shot at him.

2001-12-14 10:09:22 PM
Hey Leonard_Cohen
1. Why is it okay that we gave the Taliban $250 million when we KNEW they were committing some of the worst crimes against women the middle east has seen in hundreds of years but it's EVIL and UNFORGIVEABLE and TREASONOUS that John Walker would fight for the same group we gave the $250 million to?

2. If you could fit into your pants, would you still go dancing?

2001-12-14 10:10:19 PM
Jeez, I don't know what's what anymore. We can't even agree that what John Walker/Lindh did was a very bad thing. We have to steer slightly off-topic to something more controversial so we can all have a nice troll-fest.

My answer to this question...beats me, I don't give a rats-ass. No offence :)

2. If you could fit into your pants, would you still go dancing?

Now this question is a little more civilized than your first. my answer would be....Of course I would go dancing, only a fool wouldn't.

I like the procrastinator one better.
The second one is quite unsophisticated and naive.

2001-12-14 10:24:19 PM
Why is the Peleliu getting all this press? The Tarawa can kick it's ass anyday...

2001-12-14 10:24:52 PM
You can see a bunch of good comics at Daily Strips. I've given up submitting any links to Fark. So I guess I might post a few things in here instead.

2001-12-14 10:28:26 PM
I would not want to be in a foxhole with Cyberpunk. Oh wait ....Natinal Guard...Let me rephrase. I would not want to load sandbags or clean up after a hurricane with Cyberpunk.

2001-12-14 10:29:14 PM
whats with these winpy ship names anyways??
Peleliu and Tarawa?

Peleliu sounds like a Brazilian soccer player
and Tarawa sound like the US reposessed it from the Japanese.

I like the Nimitz & USS Iowa, now those are names for ships!

2001-12-14 10:31:13 PM
There's a reason for the name Peleliu. Look it up. Either do a search, or meander your way through the first thred about the ship, I recall someone posting a reference as to why it is named so.

Cyberpunk: Your Bio makes you look like a moron. I think you're from the UK.

You own a Glock 23 .40 calibur? Did you mean CALIBER?

You have a concealed carry permit-- and you're in the Army? Reserves, MAYBE. Article 121 of the UCMJ would probably make you think twice about that.

You have secret level clearance? If you have secret level, and think you're the shiat, you don't know shiat.

You're in the Army. Hmm. Read the next point.

You were activated by your NATIONAL GUARD unit for the WTO riots--wait... I have to stop here. You fought WTO protesters for a week. You're a hero.

Sorry; I salute you!

2001-12-14 10:49:28 PM
Leave Cyberpunk alone; he's done more than you! And even more than me. Runs a damn good site too.

2001-12-14 11:05:07 PM
Ok, I'll bite.

Two words. Cold War. We can't have any Ruskies in control of Afghanistan now, can we?

2001-12-14 11:24:41 PM
lennyco- Peleliu & Tawara were the names of two southern pacific islands in which the USMC amphibiously assaulted & took over with great loss of life for both sides during WW2.
If you typed in those those names on the little google search engine & looked it up you might be a little more informed than what you usually pretend to be.
I'll even make it simple for you . . . How US Naval ships are named.
Happy learning.

"OK Mr. Walker, you don't have to worry any more. You're in good hands on the USS Peleliu! We're just going to put you here in Hold #3 with Big Black Ed for the rest of our little journey. Scream if you need anything!"

2001-12-14 11:31:40 PM
Bagu - Girl I work with is married to one of the Marines from the Peleliu. They all love fark. It's good to keep our guys happy so they can keep us happy.

Get some guys on the Tarawa reading fark, and we can send a shout out to them too!

I'd like to get some Marines scratching FARK on their bullets - so we can fark up some bad guys

First off: Any human who actually tries to defend the Taliban is a scoundrel at heart. The Taliban has had a 5 year history of treating women like Nazis treated Jews. They also blew up ancient works of historical art (Buddahs carved into a mountain hundreds of years ago.) What I'm getting at Cyberpunk is that the Taliban were known world wide as anti-human rights types and extreme terrorists long before 9/11, o get your liberal dogma off the road so it won't get hit by someone's karma.

Second off: This kid needs a ham sandwich stuffed in his mouth, a quart of gasoline (Ignited,) and a few pigs to be burried with.

Oh, and a final note... his incredibly liberal parents should be forced to live in the Middle East. You know, 'cause their kid "was a good boy!"
