How do I keep fark from opening a new window every time I click on a link?

I know there was a vote on this...but my boss was hanging around and I couldn't put in my opinion.

I hope there is something better than copying the link and pasting it in the location bar.

2001-12-14 08:52:58 AM

My cat eats them
2001-12-14 08:55:43 AM

2001-12-14 08:59:51 AM
Put a bunch in a bowl full of water and then into the microwave... very interesting.
2001-12-14 09:03:13 AM
I'll give somebody $5 if you smoke a dozen or so of them and then tell me if it gets you high.
2001-12-14 09:04:30 AM
You could sell them at ballgames during styrafoam beer night.
2001-12-14 09:08:30 AM
My Cat eats them too, but they come out looking very strange in the Kitty Litter Box
2001-12-14 09:09:25 AM
I'm all for the bowl full of water and microwave thing. Somebody take pictures!

"Pretty, perhaps; but the problem is they don't melt"

Well, you learn something new every day.
2001-12-14 09:21:25 AM
I always thought styrofoam melted... huh

The better solution is to use the ones made out of corn starch..
2001-12-14 09:24:46 AM

I'm not packing any of my packages with that enviro-friendly hippie puke corn starch. I want cfc's and styrofoam and I want them NOW!
2001-12-14 09:25:58 AM
you are forgetting that those things go great with french onion dip....
2001-12-14 09:29:37 AM

Fair enough. I will eat some and reconsider.

Fb's onion dip surrenders.

Jimmy Carter was VERY disappointed when he called the Peanut Hotline...
2001-12-14 09:52:33 AM
dont they melt if you put them in gasoline?
2001-12-14 09:52:51 AM
Styrofoam peanuts(well, actually ANYTHING styrofoam) will dissolve when sprayed with acetone. It makes a pretty neat slime.

Packing peanuts
by the road
are ugly, many say
but then at night
reflecting light
they safely guide the way

Thank you, burma-shave and MAD magaine.

Boomerang if you click on the link at the top of the comments, it will not open a new window.
2001-12-14 09:58:13 AM
Why use the damned things at all? There's plenty of other alternatives.
2001-12-14 10:08:28 AM
this is from the st. croix source, leading me to believe that fb- posted it. fb-, do you post stuff biased contrary to yr opinion just so you can make stupid comments like those above?
2001-12-14 10:29:02 AM

I seriously hope you have bigger things to concern yourself about than my submission selections.

I would start with your obvious lack or personality and work your way down to those festering wounds on your back resulting from pimples you pick at.
2001-12-14 10:33:52 AM
Yes this is obviously part of Fb-'s plot to ruin any effort to recycle styrofoam peanuts.

Shame on fark for supporting this wicked agenda.

A guy I know walked out to his car after work one day to find the interior of the car completely filled with packing peanuts. The best part is that it was the company's president who ordered the prank and found several eager and willing co-conspirators among this person's coworkers.

Random Person: Never tried the microwave thing. May have to try it. Now putting those marshmallow Peeps in the microwave is a great way to send them to purgatory.

I feed my cats in styrofoam plates for reasons that I will not go into.
The male cat chews his way around the plate between bites of food.
Sounds like chalkboard squeak.
If he doesnt finish whilst he is eating, he returns during the day until he has chewed all the way around the plate.
It drives the female cat nuts and she usually smites him for it.
Cats are verrrrry in-tra-sting.
2001-12-14 12:45:35 PM
Cats who eat styrafoam are telling you they lack something in their diet. I know cat haters will make a billion jokes about this.........but it's true. It's all about digestion folks.
2001-12-14 01:00:57 PM
My cat doesnt eat it, he just pierces it and then moves around the plate piercing it until he completes the circle.

If he did eat it, I would investigate why and also would not feed him on it.

My cats eat better than I do. :)

There's no reason to make these things out of styrofoam. You can make them out of biodegradable cellulose.

Popcorn also makes a good alternative to styrofoam peanuts. So long as you don't leave the boxes in the warehouse too long, and attract rats...
2001-12-14 05:47:38 PM
Packing peanuts are good for stuffing beanbags when they start to sag.
2001-12-14 05:53:28 PM
Worst. Article. Ever.

Seriously, a link to info on styrafoam peanut use? The +err0rists have already w0n.
