For me I'd have to say it would be Rick Berman
2001-12-13 02:30:55 PM
Note to Rick: too late
2001-12-13 02:35:56 PM
Way ahead of you Rick.
2001-12-13 02:36:34 PM
I hate the fact they NEVER showed Wesley Crusher being repeatedly anally raped by Riker.
2001-12-13 02:37:09 PM
I think the song is okay, just that it doesn't really fit with the show
2001-12-13 02:37:29 PM
Wiiiiiiiiiiillllllllll, pleease help us! Thou art our savior!
2001-12-13 02:40:16 PM
The song reminds me of the theme to Reading Rainbow for some reason. It's just too syrupy. They should ditch that and bring back Wil. At least then we can hate on someone who reads Fark!
2001-12-13 02:40:57 PM
There are enough things in any one single episode to provide protection for several spin-offs. They could do a whole movie about that Levar Burton visor thingie.
2001-12-13 02:41:05 PM
i hate the song but i like the intro and the way they did it. It's a lot better than picard saying "To boldly go where no man has gone before..." or a ship zooming across the screen then the name appears behind it. they did that for TNG and it got annoying after a while.

The song still sucks.
2001-12-13 02:42:53 PM

Die fag die!!!
2001-12-13 02:43:51 PM
did picard ever oil his bald head up then rub it against beverly's naked body?
2001-12-13 02:44:55 PM
I like the song.
2001-12-13 02:46:39 PM
For me it would have to be Deep Space 9 and Voyager. Boring as hell, Voyager just got lame after a while, thank god it died. Probably why I switched to Farscape.
2001-12-13 02:46:40 PM
"Rick Berman says there should be something in every Star Trek series for people to hate."

He certainly SUCK-ceded with this series, which I can't stand. I think Ricky bit himself and went mad.
2001-12-13 02:48:11 PM
The franchise as been going down since ST:TNG. THank god Gene isn't around to see it.
2001-12-13 02:48:34 PM
Yeah, 80's glam rock fits a scifi show wonderfully.
2001-12-13 02:48:43 PM
Bring back Luke Skywalker!
2001-12-13 02:52:35 PM
the Chorus Is too cheesy "Faith of Heart" part. But I think the rest of song fits. More importantly the show is worth watching, the characters are actually likeable, what a concept!
2001-12-13 02:52:38 PM
ive heard that song and it sucked first time but i will admit it has grown on me.
2001-12-13 02:53:47 PM
The intro song is PERFECT.

There hasen't been a decent star trek series since Next Generation. Those geeks who were unfortunate enough to have actully watched voyager and deep throat obviously can't recognize a good thing when they see it.
2001-12-13 02:55:56 PM

Hey this is stupid. Who gives a rat's ass who Luke's father is.

That will get a few comments

2001-12-13 02:56:12 PM
Rick, baby, you make sci-fi. You're good at it. Stick to it, and let somebody with taste choose the music. Contemporary? This Richard Marx crap was out of style before TNG.

Look, you don't have any of this faux-spiritual hairspray rock DURING the show. You're still using standard Trek soundtracking - rare, unobtrusive, effective. The show would be turned into total schlock if you had the distortion-pedal fueled power chords right after 'energize!' or 'fire!' or 'warp speed!' You KNOW this. So isn't that halfway to admitting that it's a terrible choice?

I salute you and George Lucas, though. It takes a lot of cahones to make a commercial product, hear thousands of complaints about stupid-ass theme songs or JarJar, and hide behind 'artistic prerogative' as a reason for not improving your product.
2001-12-13 02:58:54 PM
You know what I hate about every Star Trek series? The parts between the commercials.
2001-12-13 02:59:18 PM
Whew! When I first heard it I thought it was the Rod Stweart version. I would have been forced to not watch.
2001-12-13 03:00:22 PM
I love Enterprise.

And the song, bugged me. But I love it now since my wife cringes so much when it's played.

2001-12-13 03:03:58 PM
"Rick Berman says there should be something in every Star Trek series for people to hate"

It's true!

Star Trek: William... Shatner's... Over.... Acting.
Next Generation: Sorry Wil.
DS9: The cast.
Voyager: The cast.
Enterprise: Well... I hated Quantum Leap.
2001-12-13 03:04:43 PM
I think the show is pretty good (missed the last damn episode), and don't really care much about the song at the beginning. I don't have to listen to it in the car or anything, so that's when I'm usually grabbing a beer!

I still think they should end each show with "Oh Boy!"
2001-12-13 03:13:28 PM
I love Enterprise. The song is great. You people are just filled with hate. My favorite character is Dr. Phlox. Phlox rox. heh.
2001-12-13 03:14:56 PM

Thats what I hate!!!!!!
2001-12-13 03:15:08 PM
I like the new series, but I've missed the last couple of episodes; the local station can't air it at the same time each week, constantly shifting it around due to some sporting event or other. Since I don't watch much else, I don't keep TV listings around.
2001-12-13 03:17:13 PM
What I hate most about Enterprise is that the entire show is filmed through Berman's special Bland Filter. It renders everything... colors, facial expressions, sets, special effects, acting, even whole plots... completely and utterly bland.

The 7-of-9 wannabe is fairly pathetic too.
2001-12-13 03:17:53 PM
3M Ta3

Everyone knows that it's Voldamort
2001-12-13 03:20:27 PM
I think it should replacedby the immortal renditiion of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by Shatner
2001-12-13 03:21:30 PM
During this interview it was also announced that the next Star Trek cast will include Dave Coulier, Bob Saget, and the Olsen Twins.
2001-12-13 03:22:18 PM
Just shows you Trekkers are strange folk with too much time on their hands. I can think of very few tv theme songs I like, that doesn't mean I hate the shows.

All in the Family is a great show....the theme song makes me cringe everytime.
2001-12-13 03:22:53 PM
33 comments and not one mention of how hot jolene blalock is? or even just her boobies? you people are slipping.
2001-12-13 03:24:44 PM
I was hoping the next series would star the entire cast of Hogan's Heroes.
2001-12-13 03:32:35 PM
I know some of you hate this series, so if you're one of those people, just disregard this post please.

The show is only available on UPN. I don't get UPN. I can't find any copies online anymore. (I have the first 4 episodes, but haven't been able to find any after that). Does anyone have any suggestions? (EDonkey was my old source for a good Enterprise fix, but no longer.)
2001-12-13 03:33:19 PM
I don't watch it, because you can't go back, and I don't know what time it's on...

What's wrong with DS9?
2001-12-13 03:38:08 PM
Funny, when originally submitted it read:
"Rick Berman says there should be something in every Star Trek series for people to like."
Unfortunately, that's not the case.
2001-12-13 03:40:13 PM
what's wrong with DS9?

2001-12-13 03:41:53 PM
Okay Caydi,

The Vulcan has tits bigger than Kirk's ego.

Ookii Chi-Chi!!!!
2001-12-13 03:42:27 PM
One word for when that songs starts to play.

2001-12-13 03:44:32 PM

Man, ain't that the truth. The Vulcan tits don't even make up for it.
2001-12-13 03:51:11 PM
I liked Wil in TNG. But yeah, there certainly is something to hate about all Star Treks.

For the first one, it's that the entire crew was incompetent and most episodes they lived solely because of Spock.

TNG, I hated that stupid holodeck. Too many of the episodes were too similiar.

For DS9 and Voyager, I hated them cause they suck.

For Enterprise, there's the theme song. That goddamn vulcan. And some other stuff, sometimes it's just too cheesy.

Reason Numero Uno

This show needs a new crewmember. "She" would be nothing more than a giant floating pair of boobies in tight spandex. And she would always be floating in the background of every scene. Especially when the ship encounters severe turbulance. They could also add a boobies-entering-the-room cheer. Kinda like when Norm used to enter the bar on Cheers....... "NNNNockers"
2001-12-13 03:55:30 PM
Know what I hate about Jolene Flaycock? Her lips and her belly button. Her lips look like the inner tubes out of my ten speed. Her belly button looks like the rebound after a Johnny Wad pull out.

The last good Trek was Deep Throat 9.
2001-12-13 03:56:18 PM
DS9 had good scripts.
2001-12-13 03:56:45 PM
Hoosier: most of them are dead

everyone else: DS9 was awesome the last season when you had the federation, romulans, and klingons all fighting the dominion and cardassians. Especially when the cardassians turned on the dominion.
