Couldn't find any volunteers for the suicide mission, I guess.

so, if one of the bombers hits himself, the other one feels it?

Ban toy cars, toy car detectors at airports!

Wasn't that done in a movie??? copy cats freaks, get an original idea. And next time use a bigger bomb, the guard was treated for shock, probably at the site of a Cyclops coming at him covered with duct tape a nitro...lol

Yeah Burber, one of the coolest car chase scenes in a movie, and the only good part of Dead Pool!

You could do this in Grand Theft Auto.

They must have been pretty close because how else would they be able to see where to drive this thing.

So they saw Tremors 2 too?

2001-12-13 12:13:14 PM

Not In My Back Yard

If these were Muslims directing explosives towards a New York police station (or in my case the I.R.A. doing so towards an English police station) would this article spark a debate about Jim Carrey playing a heroin-addicted rock star?

Stu;
It's all in your 'frame of reference'.

When this story came up, the first thing I thought of was that movie.
I, thankfully, don't have to dodge Radio-Controlled bombs in the streets on a daily basis. I'm sorry that you DO have those kind of things to worry about.
I'm not unsympathetic to your situation, just don't have that 'frame of reference' as a first thought.

Disco Stu:
Simmer down, it just brings back a image from a bad movie, no offense to the actual dire situation at hand!

Actually, the whole G-n-R band is present at the funeral scene in "The Dead Pool".

2001-12-13 02:19:19 PM
I'm sorry, 'The Dead Pool' occurred to me too. It's just that, two months ago t.v. shows were being cancelled and movies shelved if they did so much as mention the word; 'bomb'. The 'interesting' tag is usually used as a kind of catch-all for articles that aren't really one thing or another. My Boobies was a knee-jerk reaction to what I thought were flippant comments relating to something which referred to people trying to blow up policemen, a phenomenon which I thought would still be a sore point for some people. By the way I only used the I.R.A as an example, all they've ever done to me is cause a few streets to be cordoned off that I wanted to shop in

There was some Dirty Harry movie on last night on TNT with a remote controlled car.

I turned it on and it was Clint Eastwood and some dude getting chased by a remote controlled 70's fastback-style car...in the end it catches up to Clint's car and blows the front end of it up and injuring his partner..

This Dead Pool?

Also seen in Batman: The Animated Series. Episode, The Gray Ghost. The episode about the pulp-style here, the Gray Ghost, the actor who played him (voiced by Adam West no less), and his impact on Bruce Wayne/Batman.
