hurrah!

2004-02-19 10:08:13 AM
I found it as amusing as Little Lulu.

2004-02-19 11:13:52 AM
but does it influence people?

2004-02-19 11:45:00 AM
About as amusing as a root canal.
About as hillarious as a dead dog on the road.
About as spiffy as a shiny new coin.

2004-02-19 12:38:17 PM
Ooh, it's a pony...

2004-02-19 01:13:15 PM
Thats just sad. I feel I have, in some way, been robbed!

I feel stupid just for watching that.

2004-02-19 01:44:18 PM
I love this cartoon. Number 6 was kinda weak, but this was a nice rebound.

2004-02-19 03:38:03 PM
These guys are a bunch of whiners. That cartoon was great!

Are there any more of these cool flash shows going on, other than homestarrunner.com and that bob and weeble thing?
oh, yeah, and loservillex.com

?

2004-02-19 04:45:42 PM
I was unaware of this "making fiends" thing, but that was pretty damn "cool", therefore, if you don't like it that would make you "uncool"

Seriously, that was brilliant. Quality entertainment!

2004-02-19 05:04:50 PM
I like it.

2004-02-19 05:14:19 PM
Yes, Mister TaVaMan, let us all see your animated creation! Well? We're waiting!

2004-02-19 05:18:23 PM
Amusing. Looks like someone put in lots of hard work. Colors look slightly trippy.

2004-02-19 09:22:16 PM
It's like Homestar Runner, but it's actually clever. I still don't quite *get* H*R.

This is great, and it's by an intelligent lady with gothic sensibilities. Of course, no match for "Mr. Wong"

2004-02-20 12:52:12 AM
I almost closed the page about halfway through. But man, was I ever glad that I stuck around for that surprise finish. Who'd have seen that one coming?

2004-02-20 04:28:50 AM
The girl sounds like she's supposed to be a crasser Dexter in a Powerpuff-ish world.

2004-02-20 04:30:05 AM
Not so bad, but the sugar cookie fiend better come back and start kicking some serious ass soon.

2004-02-20 04:33:54 AM
That was the worst Teen Girl Squad ever. Church didn't even get yelled at once!!!!

2004-02-20 04:35:48 AM
My anus is bleeding.

2004-02-20 04:39:40 AM
I hate the voices.

2004-02-20 04:41:39 AM
Mr. Milk?

2004-02-20 04:47:34 AM
I see a fat girls KFC stained fingerprints all over this.

2004-02-20 04:50:31 AM
No thanks. I'll stick to mooching pron on Kazaa Lite.

2004-02-20 04:51:09 AM
Just because you can animate in Flash doesn't mean that you should. The Wired web site has an animation section and I've yet to find more than one or two in there that were worth the time it took to watch them. This would fit in quite nicely with the bulk of the stuff on Wired.

2004-02-20 05:12:02 AM
WTF was that? I dont like to be mean and Im sorry if the animator is reading this but..... its not funny. No, not in the slightest. Every joke says "Im completely oblivious and I like everything!" Its like a Jessica Simpson that never gets PMS.

2004-02-20 05:23:14 AM
Sheesh, I applaud the effort (beats 90% of the flash crap out there), but still... I can never understand why people (at least people over the age of 10, maybe 12) think that cartoons that involve weak, stupid "good" guys always triumphing via nonsensical deus ex machinations over smart, mean "bad" guys always means the cartoon was palatable. Tom and Jerry being another great example -- Tom catches Jerry, but Jerry inexplicably pulls a giant (100x his own size) hammer out of his ass and pounds Tom? Yeh, it's a cartoon, but bullshiat is still bullshiat and "Making Fiends" stinks just the same.

2004-02-20 05:25:30 AM
It was at least stylized.. and kinda humorous at 4am.

2004-02-20 05:27:47 AM
wtf mate

2004-02-20 05:37:24 AM
Meh.

2004-02-20 05:41:38 AM
i dont understand how this is amusing at all. I mean, Strong Bad is infinity times more amusing (well, anything's more amsuing) and every time it's posted there's a huge flame war over it, hardly anyone's saying nay about this and it's utter crap!

2004-02-20 05:45:49 AM
From the writers of "Family Circus", and the autistic little brother of the animators of "Dexter's Lab", comes the newest web sensation... MAKING FIENDS!

2004-02-20 06:03:20 AM
This just proves once again that Macromedia is worse than Dancing Robot Hitler.

2004-02-20 06:08:58 AM
I want my three minutes back!!!! Flash in the wrong hands is a dangerous tool.

2004-02-20 06:14:29 AM
i think it ruled. you guys are just meanies.

2004-02-20 06:27:44 AM
I didn't even crack a smile throughout that whole dumb thing. Nice Mr. Garrison rip off on the teacher.

Are people not even trying to draw well in Flash now?

2004-02-20 06:31:34 AM
i've been up for 42 hours and have had 8 coffees, after watching this I want to hurt someone.

/must keep from. .... ....hu rt ting... muuust.

2004-02-20 06:37:00 AM
tweening was meant to free the mind for more creative endeavors.

/damn lack of stretch and distort

oh and the cartoon was cute, i liked it

2004-02-20 07:08:21 AM
I was going to say something quite negative about this, but then I saw that a girl made it.
I bet she was cute and nobody wanted to tell her that her cartoon sucked. Poor girl. Now she'll have to read about it on Fark.

I'd still bang her, though.

2004-02-20 07:57:16 AM
I found it as amusing as Little Lulu.

2004-02-20 08:06:49 AM
dirtyshert

I see a fat girls KFC stained fingerprints all over this.

That's really, really mean.
But can you say something serious now, so I can stop laughing?

Actually, it wasn't my cup of tea at all, but I applaud anyone who's animating in Flash.
Didn't like it? Make your own, and let's see whose is better. The power to make your own cartoons is easily available to all of us.

2004-02-20 08:19:30 AM
I enjoyed it.

So there.

2004-02-20 08:26:02 AM
It's the voice acting, I can't stand it.

2004-02-20 08:40:16 AM
Everyone's Collective Imaginary Friend
I always thought www.wearerobots.com has some of the funniest flashtoons on the net. But thats just me.

2004-02-20 08:47:03 AM
Didn't like it? Make your own, and let's see whose is better.

I fully admit mine would suck just as bad as this one sucked.

2004-02-20 08:49:22 AM
Everyone's Collective Imaginary Friend

I'm a big fan of the Happy Tree Friends over at Mondo Media. They also have a dozen more cartoon series that I haven't even watched yet.

2004-02-20 08:52:22 AM
UnstoppableDrew
With what show should one start (so many there)?
And it doesnt work in my firefox :(

/activex sucks

2004-02-20 08:53:10 AM
That was the stupidest thing I've seen in quite some time. You should have to apply for a license to use flash.

2004-02-20 08:56:24 AM
"The power to make your own cartoons is easily available to all of us."

Oh, yea, verily. And the tragedy it hast wrought.

I've probably laughed out loud at an internet creation, be it article or cartoon, less than a dozen times in my entire internet experience. The web is a pit of not funny. This is no different.

2004-02-20 08:56:35 AM
Funny! I've never seen one of these before.

I think I just needed some stupid humor at 8:50 in the morning, though.

2004-02-20 09:11:01 AM
Well, I've only watched the Happy Tree Friends. Of the three episodes they link too off the toon page, 'Treasure These Idol Moments' is my favorite. If you sign up for their newsletter, they offer access to all the ones they've put out.

2004-02-20 09:21:28 AM
This toon has some brilliant bits and some very cliche bits. It's good, overall.
