They keep floating this out there as if we're going to drop our power tools and get to dishwashing just to obtain that ever-elusive vagina our wives keep hiding from us.

Bull. Shiat.

What do you mean us? Your wife never hides it from me!

It's because women are humans and humans are lazy so if someone is doing your job for you then you find them attractive.  If my wife fixed my computer or car for me then I would be in awe with her.

Women like seeing men do things the women don't feel like doing.

Why would I be making sandwiches? I have important tasks to procrastinate! Leave making sandwiches to people who have nothing better to do.

Written by a woman who wishes her bum husband would get off his lazy ass and do this dishes once in a while.

Someone wrote that (some) women will do anything to master their man, and once successful lose all respect for him because he no longer acted like a man...

..Granted probably not someone that worked at Hallmark.

I think I'd prefer that guy cooking my meals. At least I'd be pretty sure the meat wasn't somebody I knew.

Most big chefs are men, ergo cooking is a manly activity. Now excuse me as I get a pedicure.

It always puts a smile on someone's face when you do their work for them.

If this is true, I need to ask my wife why she's being such a prude recently.

Biatch.

You know what activities "manly men" do?   Whatever the fark they want.

I think if my wife "fixed" my computer or car for me, I would just let 'em go, because man, they're gone.

/Yes, I know what you meant.

I literally laughed out loud last year when I realized I was in the kitchen cooking and my wife was on the couch yelling at the refs in the football game on TV.

I would gladly do the dishes every day for the rest of my life if it meant I never had to cook again.

I'm sure that some women do. And I'm also sure that some women don't.

Given the number of 'meh' looking chefs I know that get a non stop stream of hot waitress tail, this comes as no surprise

At this point I'm starting to wonder exactly what they bring to the table.  I can do everything myself and not get laid just fine  without signing over the rights to half my stuff.

I'm happy when my wife remembers which side the gas tank is on.

Other than having kids outside of adoption, not much.

Came in here to say DNRTFA but a few years ago there was research that said most women wanted their partners to do more housework, and that in instances where that happened, the women found their partners less physically attractive. I should know better by now. Farkers got it covered. Well done, folks.

Christ, I'd much rather cook than clean dishes. Cooking you can get better at. Dishes are easy to master.

A dishes-anal trade sounds about right.

If there was an article saying men find women who cook and clean more attractive it would be the most sexist, worstest thing evar!

Similarly, you have already failed at "manliness" if you are consciously trying.

/why "manliness" as a specific concept is a laughable

Dishes all the way.  Just drop them into the dishwasher and turn the machine on.  Takes me 5 min tops to do dishes but cooking could take 30min to an hour.
