This is why you take a holiday when your comedy writers take a holiday.

He shoots the clip while he has a studio audience there and then releases it later.

How much do you pay the group of people writing your internet snark for you?

Parrot?

The man is obviously pigeon-like. Pff, youtube comment sections never get it right.

Purely scientific query...how does "an laughtrack" sound right in your brain?  I'm truly not mocking, as you're hardly alone in this, but I have a hard time understanding the track we are on some days.

That's a difficult question.

I am not American, so there's not a lot I understand about USA. Ie. "clown face", Americans who make a grimace to show their teeth whenever they're being photographed.

If this was a live audience. I think it's the same mechanism. Ie. John Oliver tells a joke, now we laugh. It's completely fake.

But a machine or audience, I can't tell.

---

Right back at you. Why does American comedies need a laugh track. As in queues "now funny"?

Do you think this is funny without the laugh track? OK, then with? Why?

MASH was send without a laughtrack in Europe btw. :)

My girlfriend watches his show and I overhear it a lot.

It seems okay but like the Daily Show but with the word "f*ck" standing in in a lot of places were an actual joke would be preferable.

Maybe he's a Cockney so it's "an 'aughtrack, gov'na"

The question was about the use of "an laugh track" rather than "a laugh track."

For a man who lives on sarcasm, he kinda missed the point of the Code Red joke.
