Salivary amalase binds to complex carbohydrates, breaking them down in simpler carbohydrates.
In simple speak, your spit turns pasta into sugar. This isn't rocket science.

brap: I did the whole "swallow food whole" diet thing for a while but got boaed with it.

I had to search boaed.  Its use in a sentence was --  "She was totally expecting he would want anal sex, but you know it just Boaed her when he first slid it in."

And the definition -- The forced realization of the shocking magnitude of an event or occurrence that, while expected or already making rounds on the rumor circuit, only reaches the pinnacle of its emotional impact once reported through mainstream channels or experienced first-hand.

I think I just wasted part of my brain's hard drive by learning that.

Wow, a sample size of six (6).  Was it a junior high science project?

"Food metabolizes more slowly if not chewed first". Honestly, this is the dumbest bullshiat study ever.

Chewing also increases surface area by reducing, for example, the carrot to a pulp. It is easier for stomach acid to reduce the carrot pulp to a soup than a solid chunk of carrot.

A diet where you can eat all you want.....sadly, you can't swallow it.  (In more ways than one.)
