Eh...the video itself was scenes from The Incredibles set to The Dark Knight score.  The scenes weren't even taken out of context.

which I think might be the point?  That just a slight tonal change to the film can make a huge difference.

Wait, so you're saying that all super hero movies have a formula?

I'm still disappointed over TDKR but I have high hopes for Interstellar.

No, it shows what might have happened if they used the score from a Batman movie for  The Incredibles.

That's a cheat, and then on top of it the video pops up a link to buy a "I am your biggest fan" t-shirt. Double-thumbs down.

Stuff like this usually goes a bit beyond just using different songs.

Seriously - the thing was just some internet jockey re-tooling some stuff to use it as a plug and generate traffic to his site so he could sell crap...sort of like...oh...

Not really.  He inserted a couple Samuel L lines into Star Wars and called it "What if Quentin Tarantino Directed Star Wars."

I got absolutely zero Taratino feel from that clip.

It can.

But it didn't.

Agreed. I watched several of his remixes and really didn't find they hit the mark.

You want a good remix that changes the tone - here is the Shining trailer remixed as a happy, family story:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmkVWuP_sO0

Anyone know what that number of views adds up to in ad revenue?

OK - now that was funny, and a little sick, but mostly funny

Meh. Not a bad idea but the treatment wasn't inventive enough. I think my favourites are still the ones from a few years ago with "The Shining" redone as a family comedy and "Mary Poppins" as horror. Those were actually pretty entertaining and the scenes were rearranged in a clever way.
