This is just more evidence that there really is no rule against trolling.

Being that it's Fux News, I'm surprised they're even reporting this, as they don't tend to "believe" in science. I'm surprised they're admitting to the existence of ozone.

Trolling and deliberately missing the point seems to be all Fark does anymore. This community has become toxic as hell and the increasingly annoying advertising sure doesn't farking help.  I need a new website..

I'd say Welcome To Fark, but... no point. How exactly is the headline trolling? It was a joke, as it's supposed to be.

I like a joke as much as the next farker, but that headline was pretty effing troltastic, imho.

I take it, as you defended such a 'joke', that you're the trollmitter, ja?

*shrugs* The community seems about the same as it ever was to me, and I've been reading since '02. The strong posters as as strong as ever and there may even be fewer trolls than there used to be (or my farky colors just make them easier to skip). That headline seemed like a pretty good joke to me.

Using a topic of colorado that is almost always used as a joke now makes it troll-tastic?  As soon as i read the headline, i knew the article would have nothing to do with marijuanna on a serious note.  Almost every colorado headline since they legalized marijuana has had a reference to it.  Is it a great headline?  Is it a "slap my knee, damn that were funny" headline?  Not even close but it's the template for anything to do with colorado at the moment.

You just had to comment on this. It's been stuck in rolling green limbo since last week because no on in TF liked it enough to leave a comment.

Headline isn't any more trolly than any other headline on Fark. What's... supposedly the troll?

okay, it wasn't trolling and it wasn't funny and I'm just a sensitive paranoid stoner.

Has every Collarado headline really blamed cannabis on the bad thing in the story? In such a patently wrong, but foxnewsy kind of way?

could someone please link to a handful of examples?

Meanwhile, CO media is flooded with adverts from the National Manufacturers Association begging voters to destroy Sen. Udall for kowtowing to bureaucratic federal energy regulations affecting ozone creation and propagation stating that it's not really a problem in Colorado so the only right answer is to pollute away.

I don't necessarily disagree with anything you have here, but this isn't a good example of it. The headline is just a fairly lazy "Colorado = pot" joke grafted onto the main thrust of the story, which is par for the course for Fark. It's a Leno-esque joke. Those kinds of headline used to be rare on Fark, and overshadowed by much more clever stuff, but I agree -- the quality has gone down here. At the same time, it's not quite the Politics tab-style "completely misrepresent the story in the headline just for clicks or lulz."

My favorite ads are the ones targeted at the "kids".  MARK UDALL is spending OUR MONEY!.  Lol.  And they even say the unemployment rate is 10%.  Just straight up lie.

See, a particular individual, this is how you troll.

Fox supports Ann Coulter, who wrote a book about how science is a liberal myth (except quantum mechanics, which she takes on faith, and almost surely doesn't understand).

I think he may also be referring to the "sponsored links" to Buzzfeed and the likes. Because I have adblock and still have noticed more ads. Also if you aren't logged in you can get ad pages between fark and the article, something I don't remember when I started on Fark without an account about five years ago.

Fox News politics supporting Coulter has nothing to do with their science reporting. Their science reporting is usually spot on.

Like the way they claim global warming is a lie (even GWB said it was real), or how Bill O'Reilly said that the moon can't possibly cause the tides? I haven't watched in years, has it changed from that? Are they admitting evolution is a fact yet?

Are you selectively reading what I am replying? Their science reporting is an entirely different division than their politics division. When did O'Reilly write a science article for Fox News?
