How many hogsheads per stone can she do?

In the photo of her lifting the couch she's wearing high-heeled running shoes? I did not know that was even a thing.

Apparently it's a thing.

A 35 kg log? That's like 8 miles long!

Its a goddamn shame that they cut down such an obviously proud and ancient tree just so she can show off.

That woman is anything but petite. Healthy as an ox, and probably able to wrestle one. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

coincidentally I just dropped a 35kg log

//at least it felt like it

I agree with you, but after a google search, apparently petite really only refers to height (5'3" or shorter) as far as sizes are concerned.

Learned something new today.

Cute figure.  Women that lift a lot get manly faces though.

Well played, modmins.  Well played.

Definitions of petite:

Real life: Any woman between 4'10" - 5'4".
Fashion world: Any woman shorter than 5'7".

Women who take steroids get man faces. Lifting alone doesn't do that.

My wife had to explain the same thing to me shortly after we started dating.  First bit of clothing I bought her as a gift was size "Petite", me thinking it just means small, and she's "small".  For the record, my wife is 5'7" and 120lbs, which is apparently not petite in women's sizes.

For the record, I hate the way women's sizes work almost as much as my wife hates the way sizes work.

If by cute figure you mean, thunder thighs, broad shoulders and calves thicker than Adele's, then yeah, she's got a cute figure.

Only if they go through serious cutting phases. They make both sexes look gross but they're especially bad for women.

So a mother competes in a lifting competition and naturally they want her to pose in ways that show off how useful it is for household wimminfolk chores? Niiiice.

Built like a fire-plug = petite?

I wonder what her legs looked like prior to training, because in TFA it looks like she could kill several of us with them. Curious if it looked like she had potential or...whatever the story is.

Good for her.

I'm just under 5'9" and 125 lbs (plus or minus a couple pounds).  I'm skinny, like your wife, but not at all petite.  In fashion, a petite blouse will have a shorter torso and shorter arms; petite pants will have a shorter inseam.  So while I can wear a size small in many things, I absolutely cannot wear a petite anything.

I think her face is okay.  By British standards, she's hot. Even by American standards I'd say she's above average.

Women's sizes are why gift cards were created.

154 lb squat and 77 lb log is doable in two years for almost everyone.

We women hate it, too.  Most of us figure out a store or two (maybe three, if we're lucky) where we can reliably shop and find items that fit us.  I know what size I am at Gap, JCrew, and Banana Republic, for example.  I can't find anything that fits me at Old Navy, Express, or H&M, though.

Well, except those who have condishuns, which generally involve several litres of cola a day, and ranch on everything.

21 stone deadlift is 294 lb. For a strongwoman competition, that isn't much at all.

8 stone log above her head is 112 lb -- again, not difficult at all for anyone who has lifted for a short period of time.

70 kg squat is like 155 lb, too. Again, not much at all. In fact, if she is deadlifting 300 lb, she should be able to squat at least 200.

I can't get past the weird sneakers...are they high tops...or are they actually high heeled shoes that look like sneakers?

Or is it late and I am just too tired to really care..

150 pound squats?  What the fark kind of podunk competition does that get you into?  There are women at my gym who can rep 225 with excellent form, and I doubt they'd even win competitions with even 225 pounds.
