Daily Fail is blocked by my companies filter, can someone give a quick synopsis? I see the words "space" and "whiskey" so I am quite intrigued.

Do your sets begin or end with Fantasy?

Two bottles of whiskey.  One goes to space.  One stays home.  Wait three years.  Bring back space whiskey.  Will test to see if taste different.

Thank you.

Definitely sounds interesting. I think I might be more interested in seeing a small oak cask being sent up while another ages here on earth.

Are we prepared to deal with what may happen to those that test-drink the space whiskey?

The Ardbeg Distillery in Scotland helped the ISS make a single malt in 2011. After letting it mature in ZERO GRAVITY for 3 years, it is now being shipped back to Earth to see if it's any good. :D

Much as I appreciate whisky, this experiment has been done before.

The answer is  42

"OMG!!  All of the space whiskey has disappeared!!  Curse you, close to zero gravity effects!!"

"You drank it all, didn't you?"

"FOR SCIENCE!"

Oh booooooo. I thought it was going to be some sort of zero gravity sex experiment.

That happens after you get pummelled on Space WhiskeyTM.

My guess was something about bacon.

Hm, I hoped this was some sort of article confirming that the hare-brained EmDrive propulsion system worked, or that there were indications that Alcubierre wasn't completely full of crap.  Oh, well, whiskey is also rather important.

TFA isn't clear, being the Daily Fail and all, but the experiment apparently involves bits of charred oak as well as unmatured single malt. Seems like NASA and the distillery did it right.

Ardbeg makes some damn good stuff. I would like to volunteer my services as a taster for this great experiment.

A new brand of overpriced whiskey is about to touch down.

Bottle of Islay whisky to return to Earth after 3 years aboard the ISS. Texas scientists will study the changes the half bottle of whisky went through. Empty bottle to be returned to Scotland for deposit.

See, if they taste it and it's terrible for some space reason, no one will want to go back to space. SPACE RUINED.

I assumed it was going to be about whether bacon wrinkles as much in a zero g environment as it does on earth when cooked.
