Rick Romero here reporting that law enforcement may accidentally target armed vigilantes close to the scene of a crime.

You mean if you show up armed in the middle of a chase with armed Border agents, and just expect to be welcomed, that doesn't work out so well? It's almost as if showing up with a weapon in the middle of a law enforcement action without any introduction or readily identifiable reason might be sort of a bad thing...

These are folks who are so wrapped up in their vigilante fantasies, that they can't see that OTHERS don't know who the Hells they are, and that injecting themselves into the scene might distract folks, or even draw fire. Maybe they should stick to storming bank robberies in progress, wearing ski masks and brandishing their licensed firearms without identifying themselves. Probably safer for everyone if they do...

Wait, I thought Obama didn't HAVE any agents at the border! Isn't that why the xenophobes are all butthurt and Governor Goodhair McSmartyglasses sent DPS troopers to the border?

The agent fired four shots but did not hit the man, Zamora said. The man then dropped his weapon and identified himself as a militia member.

These nutbags are always boasting that they can defeat the government...my, how quickly this one surrendered.

He opted not to return fire at a federal agent in a friendly fire incident... Looks like he's smarter than you.

It's certainly possible the militia member surrendered because he was a coward and didn't know who was firing at him.

On the other hand, if the militia nutbag realized that it was a federal agent shooting at him before he surrendered, that means he was a bit more aware of what he was potentially shooting at than the agent was. So, a nutbag, just not a nutbag with a badge.

"Obama" has border agents? Like his own private army? That's awesome. I want to be president. Oh, wait - they're OUR border agents.

Just another wannabe-cop getting in the way of actual law enforcement officers. They'll never learn.

Meanwhile the rest of us didn't try to jump in as a third party to a firefight in the first place.

So we're smarter than the city who did.

A kid can be shot in the back and killed, while on the phone, holding a BB gun at Wal-Mart.  To contrast, fully grown, unregulated armed goons can storm around the country side threatening pretty much everybody, and are essentially just released when they get in the line of fire of officers actually doing their jobs.

This country is screwed.

Militia members are usually p*ssies when confronted by people who can actually shoot back. They're great at chasing down unarmed women and children, though.

They're also the bravest possible warriors when browbeating minimum wage employees at Chilis who are asking them to kindly leave a family restaurant with their fully loaded military rifles.

If he was that aware, he wouldn't have inserted himself in the situation in the first place. I'm going to assume, therefore, that he's just a pants-pissing wuss.

Why do some of you automatically assume subby is either trolling or a teabagger?  That headline read as pretty standard parody to me.  Poking fun at the fact that some people call every government agent "Obama's xyz".

Perhaps, but...
The unidentified man was not arrested and appeared to have permission to be on private property where the incident occurred.

It's not like he was trudging through a national forest with a howitzer. I've carried a rifle on my parents' land before, thought granted, I'm not dumb enough to wear camouflage when it's deer-hunting season.

Imagine waiting for all the facts to come in before deciding to go to war over some robbery suspect that may have assaulted a police officer.

Were you busy that week or was there air in your tires that needed to be rotated or cats that needed flossing?

Maybe your mobility scooter doesnt hold a charge like it used to?

Honest question: is it legal for a vigilante to kill someone illegally crossing the border?

If not, why the need to be armed w/more than a pair of binoculars and a cell phone with ICE on speed dial?

I saw a Jeep today with one of these on his rear window. I'm sure the little militia pussy had the same mindset.

The funny thing is, if you replaced the AR-15 with an AK-47, it wouldn't be too out of place on an ISIS vehicle.

What a stupid question.  How's he going to masturbate without his AR15 there to stroke simultaneously?  Really, have you never jacked off before?
Don't tell me you're one of those weirdos who gets off without his gun in hand.

I had just left Walmart and was pulling out into traffic when one of the drivers on Obama's road made me break hard and spill tobacco juice from the sonic cup in my lap onto the crotch of my overalls. Thanks, Obama!
