Morons, the lesbian human/lizard couple are married.  You're complaining about someone kissing their wife.

Get over yourself.

I only get upset when turtles are involved.

2014-08-29 01:57:02 PM
That is actually pretty damn good.  If you did it a generation ago, it would have been thousands instead of six.

Congrats UK sci-fi fans.

2014-08-29 01:58:20 PM
Unless one of those six is the Queen, which I doubt, I think the show will survive.

I'd be upset about the spoiler, but, having watched the show up to what's on Netflix, this does not surprise me at all.

They had to so something to appease the freaks on Tumblr, after not casting some rainbow diversity Doctor.

I'm glad that they finally got Planet of the Dead on Netflix. It made no sense to me why it wasn't on there. Now, if only they would get the rest of the Classic Who episodes live.

hillary: Forget the lesbianism, this was a kiss between two entirely different species, Silurians and humans. That is not natural or God-intended.

How can you not be outraged? What is wrong with you?

This is how typhoons and plagues and earthquakes are caused, people. You have been warned.

Dogs and cats living together....mass hysteria!

That's how you get salmonella. Do you want to get salmonella?

I thought they were dead...No, I haven't actually seen the episode yet.

In THIS sampling. I imagine that a large base group would yield not only larger pure numbers, but a larger percentage, as well.

whael Grade. He'd have immediately recast the roll, stuck him in a clown suit and gotten some awful writers in...maybe even Stephanie Myers!

It's only one step from marrying lesbian Silurians to marrying turtles.

Better than people give him credit for, but still not good.

Yeah, I'll give you that one.

Over-rated, not the Master. Never got the love for him. I like John Simm, don't get me wrong, but his portrayal of the Master was weak.

What about Peter Pratt, Geoffrey Beavers, Gordon Tipple or Jonathan Pryce?

Six? Waah.

Vastra was annoying as hell in that episode, but for other more condescending reasons.

Amazon prime Otoh comes through.

They also need to stop cropping the episodes. I'm still pissed I can't watch the fun dance scene in Last of the Time Lords.

Remember that episode when The Doctor and Rose visited that planet with all the Cat people nurses?  That made me feel kinda funny, like when we used to climb the rope in gym class.

Its supposed to set the tone, not have a coherent plot.  And it definitely skipped the plot development part.  HE'S NOT HER BOYFRIEND, OK?!!!!  DID THEY NOT MAKE THAT CLEAR?  SEX IS FOR LIZARDS NOT TIME LORDS.

To give some perspective, 811 people complained to the BBC that one contestant in the Great British Bake Off sabotaged another contestant's baked Alaska.

So that number of complaints is almost a rounding error.

But we had the Doctor beating up a bun off screen and stealing his clothes, which is kind of worth it.

I'll need to see the kiss to know whether I'm offended by it. Preferably in a slo-mo gif format, optimised for hi-def on an Android tablet.

Chris Ween: Its supposed to set the tone, not have a coherent plot.

That is such a weak defense.  These things aren't mutually exclusive.  It's supposed to not suck and that episode had about 40 minutes of suck that simply didn't need to be there.

I think they had 55 minutes worth of episode in a 75 minute slot. The episode really didn't get going until the doctor started on his little Angry Eyebrows monologue bit with the tramp.

Plus it wasn't a kiss, it was a sharing of oxygen, the episode was most explicit about it.

Except he didn't. Didn't he say he gave the bum his watch for the clothes?

The problem is people and the out of control 24 hours a day news idiots giving nutjobs attention.  In the old days, these wackos would call and complain, the person answering would say "oh", "ok", "i understand", "i'll see what I can do".  Then hang up and laugh at them with their coworkers and that's the end of that.
