Darn you.  Darn you to heck!

Wait. Sex with who? I had a thing for Connie Chung when we were both younger.

Diane, I'll talk. I know things.

"When Couric found out Sawyer had landed a much-sought-after interview with a 57-year-old woman who had given birth to twins, the publicly perky anchor reportedly snarled, "I wonder who she blew this time to get it.""

Is this what they're referring to when they say Couric claims Sawyer traded sex for interviews? Because it doesn't sound like it to me. It sounds like a catty comment from a jealous colleague, that's all.

What he said. I'm surprised the Daily News' legal dept. let them run that headline.

Have never liked nor respected Couric. She is a cheerleader playing grown-up journalist.

i'd still do Diane Sawyer.

/that is all

I think she had sex with Andrew Dice Clay or some other famous comedian at The Comedy Store in Hollywood.

Also, Diane's lips look perfect for blowjobs.

They're both a couple of drunk old whores.

2014-08-28 08:22:16 PM
I generally don't expect the people at the top of whatever profession/industry they're in to be particularly "nice". Has nothing to do with fame getting to their head; the kind of drive, cunning, and whatever else necessary to get there (wherever "there" is) required in the first place demands a high level of egotism and utmost regard for themselves.

Well, for one thing I wasn't saying anything about women in general, just two particular women. (As Patrick Swayze said in Road House on how you should respond to accusations your mother's a whore: "Is she?") And for another:

As I understand it calling specific women whores is OK, calling women in general whores is not.

Diane Sawyer strived to be "America's Aunt," but she rode her staff hard

apparently the sex wasn't reserved just for interviewees

These are the key words, implying Couric knows it's happened before.

If we're doing 80s talking heads I'd vote for Leeza Gibbons vs Mary Heart.

I strongly suspect that I'd enjoy having sex with Brianna Keilar.  Any of these three, not so much.  I'm trying not to drink That much anymore.

/could probably get Couric goggles going, actually...

Oh gee.  An insider's tell-all book about catty female TV "journalists" backstabbing each other?

I couldn't be any less interested.

Yeah, and
who cares?

And, when feeling threatened, these pioneering, primetime newswomen would sometimes bare their claws at each other, according to a tell-all book that goes on sale next month.

Holy shiat, OMG, can you believe that? Men never behave this way, at work or any other time!

America's Aunt, so that'd be incest. Creepy, dude.

if you think for a second that these high profile women have not used sex to get something they desired, I have a bridge to sell you.  a bridge to terabithia, no less.

because they have.  almost guaranteed.  the news world is a man's world, baby.

hell, I'd wager even someone like Roseanne (yeah, she isn't news related) has a few spunk covered skeletons in her closet she's like to forget.

want something in Hollywood\television and have a vagina?  better warm up that casting couch.

men are terrible.  and in most cases still run the show.  and in most cases still get away with terrible things.

Palin's handlers wanted her. Quite understandably, they considered Couric to be a lightweight.

& then big meanie Katie went & asked the "What do you read" question.

2014-08-28 09:24:14 PM
I'd take Diane now over Couric in her supposed prime.

I had a thing for Linda Ellerbee when I was a teenager, in the 1970's. I would still like to take her to dinner and have a long conversation about the news business and TV then and now. By which I mean I would like to take her to dinner and have a long conversation.

Yes, Mr. Henley got a bit perturbed with the media after they reported on the teen girl that OD'd at his house. It's always interesting to hear a pedophile vilify the messenger.
