Fun fact:  Inuit (and other) languages are polysynthetic, using a lot of prefixes and suffixes to produce complex words.  So they don't really have a lot of words for snow, just a lot of words involving snow. What is a single word in Inuit would be a sentence in English.  A word might mean "He is brushing off the snow", "This is the first snow of the season" or "I'm going to go masturbate in the snow to the north."
