The whole police force needs to be disbanded there. From what I've read, they are made up of bad cops, including ones kicked off the force in other police departments.

It's probably not the best idea to put a memorial in the middle of the street like that. The side of the road might be a better choice.

Or move it to the graveyard, now that he's in the ground.

I would also be good with transferring anyone deemed salvageable (maybe an adopt-a-cop program for all those cop supporters - you could have a Ferguson cop in your neighborhood!). But, yeah, every single person in that department needs to be one from Ferguson. Nothing less will do at this point.

If I was a pedestrian, I would want it in the middle of the road like that. That way I wouldn't trip on stuff.

It's a hazard where it is and should be moved. It is interesting, however, that it is not being moved. Merely pissed on. Like moving it would touch off the bonfire again so let's not go there, but minor passive aggressive acts, like allowing police dogs to pee there, won't.

Why is that stuff allowed to stay in the middle of the road and impede traffic?

I hope they ticketed the person that spray painted the road. Vandalism will should not be tolerated.

Because if not you're a racist...or something...

You'd think that with all of the protesters in the area that someone would have captured this on their cell phone.

Yeah, um, I think I'll wait before I believe this.

Wow, just... holy shiat.  Incomprehensible.
What a thoroughly incompetent and malignantly antagonistic police force.  That whole department just needs to just be fired.

I don't know.  Beating someone and then charging him for destruction of property because he bled on your uniform is pretty pants-on-head stupid.

dwrash: Why is that stuff allowed to stay in the middle of the road and impede traffic?

It doesn't really look like it's impeding traffic to me.  It's a little bit of stuff on the center line of a reasonably wide street that isn't a main thoroughfare.
And if it were impeding traffic, the solution is to ask people to move their memorial offerings to the side of the street on the grass or something, not to bring their attack dog and have it pee on their stuff.

2014-08-28 02:58:16 PM
I would hesitate to put something like that in a fictional story about shiathead cops for fear of it being to over the top and unbelievable.

By a canine, who has no dog in this fight.

At this point, I think Ferguson "residents" would be offended if you said hello.

"Don't you people ever go to bed?"

It's just an anecdotal observation, but I have started to believe this is true of many, if not most, really messed up officers.

We had one locally who had bounced through departments in several states. Each realized he was a psycho (in one department, I believe he vandalized another officer's truck after being pranked in the locker room) and politely told him to start looking for other employment, then showed him the door with a glowing recommendation because it was too hard to actually discipline him and fire him in a way that would do the right thing and end his career.

Eventually, all the nuts roll on down to whatever department is screwed up enough to let them stay on, then they make the news when somebody finally gets hurt.

They're working on one that grasps the shaft firmly without pinching. The problem is trying to get one that fits a Rottweiler to fit a Dachshund. In the meantime chest mount and back harness will give you those awesome shots of a dog attacking a perp's balls.

The police find it an effective way to remind people not to walk in the street.

It is far more common for officers to live outside the area they work in. This can be due to a number of factors including affordable housings, schools, spouse employment, etc.  It can help prevent conflict and favoritism as well as running into potentially hostile individuals they have contacted in the course of their duties while off duty.  Even larger agencies officers usually reside in areas outside their normal patrol assignments. It helps avoid conflict created by having to arrest your neighbor or your child's teacher, etc. That's not to say it can't happen when living away from the area you patrol, but it reduces the chances.

So?

If you're murdered on the toilet, and the cops are investigating your death, guess where you ge tto sit for four hours.

WTF do want an ambulance for a dead man, anyway?

Yeah, and? They didn't care. If they did they would have move it off the road into someone's yard.

Like they should be doing with that memorial.

They are no better than the pigs.

Let's discuss the obvious facts of the case.  Skipper, a beloved and heroic first responder peacedog, was trying to protect his community from lawless THUGs when after many days of straight police work he needed to finally pee.  Skipper said "I cannot pee here, that is where a man died" and he tried to walk away, but then some THUG dog was there (probably a pit bull) and he was like "Imma bite you cuz I do dog drugs" so Skipper was forced to by those people and their dogs.

The cops have video of the whole thing which they will be releasing any day now.  Josie was there too.

Not so much, but I'd think there's usually some sort of attempt to save a shooting victim.
