But he gets custody of the skanky model harem, so it all evens out.

... Charlie Sheen pays more than $100K a month to Denise Richards

How the fark does Denise Richards need $100k/month? That's bullshiat. Nuclear Physicists do very well.

In the docs, Susannah agrees to give back the Feldman name,

Well, at least she doesn't get to keep the really valuable stuff.

If the judge wanted to punish her, he could've forbidden her from changing it back, at least until the kid turned 18

with that fedora and those women's sunglasses, on top of being shriveled up and practically a midget...he's starting to look a LOT like Yoko Ono.

Of course Mr. Feldman can afford it. He was in Goonies!

I recall appreciating her "credentials" in the 1990s.

How much is that in old Michael Jackson jackets and License to Drive DVDs?

This is what I don't get about residuals.  Stand By Me, Goonies, Lost Boys are on TV all the time.  He's got a million other credits to his name that play less frequently, but his old stuff is on constantly.  He should have a very steady income.  It seems like it would be very difficult to be so broke.  I'm sure he racked up serious debt and had a bunch of hands in his pockets, but he should have a decent income.

Here's a list of things Denise Richards needs that $100k per month for:

1. Thorazine
2. Botox refills
3. "touch ups"
4. Diet pills
5. Skin-stretching sessions
6. Cat food
7. Lawyers

child actor, presumably "turned out" by the Hollywood pedo underground. burned through his money and good will in his twenties instead of transitioning to more adult roles. there was also the attachment to Cory Haim and they became the Cory's and that type of buddy flick formula can only go so.far

if it means anything, he probably paid cash for the Hyundai back in 2002.

Stunning, go to IMDB and look at all of his movie credits and imagine the pile of cash he burned through.

He lives in L.A. with the life style of an actual celebrity, not the "2 BR apartment and street parking" life style that he should be living, since he hasn't produced new, box office work in about 30 years. Even Chunk knew that he wasn't going to be famous forever and got an actual career. That's like saying, "I see the General Lee on TV all the time, I bet John Schneider and Tom Wopat are swimming in cash."

Now I wonder how much does a paparazzi get for a photo of him?  A coupon for a discounted crave case at white castle?

There was no "The Crow" after the first movie. The Crow died with Brandon Lee, the 1990s, grunge rock and my youth.

LOL, came here to mention that. And an '01 Mercedes. I mean, we're probably not talking some mint Mercedes that has it's own valet. This is probably his daily driver and has 200K on the odometer by now.

And damn, I was hoping that video link was for another one of his amazingly weird music videos. Those things are like crack.

I just looked this up and John's net worth listed online @$4 million and Tom's is $2 million, as this is net this probably includes nonliquid assets like real estate but aside from John giving Tom crap about scoring that regular gig on Smallville both are pretty comfy despite not being able to live La Vida Charlie Sheen.

I'm just glad no one in the thread is suggesting that these laws must be changed to protect what Mr. Feldman has earned over thirty years of working in Hollywood.

Yep. Over time, the residual checks become ridiculous. I have a friend who had a pretty big supporting part in one of those Disney Mighty Ducks knockoff sports movies in the early 90s. He said now, between TV airings and Netflix, that part nets him about 3 or 4 bucks a month in income.

Many times, the checks are so small, they cost more to mail than they're worth.

Came to say this. If your newest car is 12 years old, you're not doing very well. Surprised he got stuck with 750 a month. Assuming child support around 20% of income, he must be bringing home about 3500-4000 a month.

Yes, which is pretty got-damn shocking on its own....

When she initially hooked up with him, she probably thought that he'd be her ticket to a life of fame and luxury. Now she's driving around in a 2002 Hyundai, and each month, she's probably standing out by the mailbox waiting for that $750 check to arrive. Life sure takes some crazy twists and turns.

Thankfully I've never been through a divorce or had to pay child support so I could be off base here, but doesn't the amount paid have more to do with the difference between the two people's incomes, and not just how much one person makes?

Say for example he makes 100K a year and she makes 90K, he then needs to pay her some amount based on the 10K difference.

Not that I think he makes much money, but I'm just saying he may not be as destitute as we're thinking.

there probably is another word you could use but I am sure a chunk of his cash went up in smoke, of various types, and he has pissed quite a bit of it away as well

that would be maintenance or alimony, depending on the state you are in, child support is based on the income of the non custodial parent and has nothing to do with what the custodial parent makes

Sounds punitive more than anything else.
