My WWII/Korea Veteran father passed away on 8/11 so I'm getting a kick....

There must be over 10,000 photos to go through.  Found some of him in Tokyo in 45/46.  Found his uniform patches, brass, etc, all sorts of things.  Two honorable discharges.

My grandmother passed away recently, she was over 100, anyway while cleaning out her home we found many interesting WWII artifacts, it seems that generation kept everything.

/My favorite was the denial from the War Department of the purchase of 1 new Spare Tire.

Evening and the weary commuter is making his way home. Off in the distance, he hears the cry of a baby. It is perhaps, Ted thinks, the cry of a bastard child perhaps. As Ted made his way from the train station, an evening storm blew in unexpectedly. Rain suddenly fell in cold, unrelenting torrents. Fellow commuters ran for shelter finding very little solace in the nearby trees and leaky canopies of the local business. But Ted soldiered on knowing the his Fuehrer's Frockcoat (all sizes including XXXL) would keep him dry and warm. Made of virgin Argentinian wool and triple coated with space age polymers, it is the perfect accessory for those Parisian rain showers or even perhaps a foggy evening in old London town. Available only from J. Peterman.

Already started.  It will take a long time to do it myself but I simply will not trust the pics to the post office or whatever company will scan them for me.

I do, however, have 7 rolls of exposed Tri X, date unknown (after 1960 is all I know).  I'm going to HAVE to send those off to see if any image survived the years.

Actually, I think that picture of Hitler is from a different flight. He did a fair amount of flying around in open-cockpit biplanes, not just in the Ford Tri-Motor (yes, it's a Ford; the Ju-52 was just coming into service in '32).

Err, Fokker, not Ford. But very similar to the Ford, in that it was a high-wing, and foreign-built (Fokker was Dutch, and designed planes for Imperial Germany in WWI as a neutral).
