60 year old men playing 50 year old songs is bound to be, at the very least, disappointing. Let me know when they do 'Rudy Vallee: A Night with a Vagabond Lover'...

How could Dave Stewart have recognized that, aside from the godawful Sgt. Pepper movie, the Cirque de Soleil tribute show, the godawful Across the Universe movie, and every other time a celebrity's covering their work bombed, paying tribute to the Beatles is an unsuccessful venture?

Well, big deal.  There've been Beatles tribute bands around since the '70s.  Some are better than others.

They should have just had these guys and be done with it.  Respectful tribute and jaw-dropping musicianship without suits, haircuts, and fake accents that make most beatles cover bands unbearable.

Ever met any Beatles fans? That was even more forced than the Sgt. Pepper movie, and the Sgt. Pepper movie had better artists on the soundtrack.

Yes, that was pretty good. I was surprised to see Will Lee on bass. I always liked him on Letterman. The band also has Jimmy Vivino who used to be with Conan. I like the fact that they focus on music that wasn't played live by the Beatles.

How did you think this would turn out? It's DAVE STEWART, the chinless wonder, a total hack who smashed guitars on-stage during mom-rock Eurythmics shows. You paid actual $$$ for tickets?
