Yeah, our human rights record in regards to Ferguson is a joke according to Lil' Kim.

Seriously, as soon as even the hint of protest was seen, we should have sent in armed forces to enforce marshal law and lay low whole neighborhoods of protesters, all behind a media blackout. Once the dust is cleared and the corpses are buried, then release footage to the media of a peaceful quelling of the rebellion.

Um, that's not terribly far off from what actually happened.

- armed forces
- curfews
- police shooting at reporters with rubber bullets

So hooray, we're marginally better than North Korea!

Something like Ferguson could never happen in Best Korea.

In Best Korea the plebs are used to fellow civilians being shot for no reason, and too hungry and/or oppressed to consider protesting.

What do you think would happen if a city in NK rioted?  Assuming they weren't too weak from starvation.
It would be a bloodbath.  And anyone left that the military didn't kill in the streets would be shipped to work camps.

True. It does not in any way minimize my outrage and horror over the incidents in Ferguson to mention that Dear Leader has no moral ground on which to stand, and no one with the slightest sense cares what he has to say about this or any other subject.

You forgot to ship the survivors to a forced labor camp to die of starvation, and killing every surviving generation of everyone.

Good old Kim can take the high ground once he feeds his people something besides bullcrap and grass.

However, he's got a point, Ferguson is a national disgrace.

He's a chubby little band-wagoner. He wouldn't be saying anything if large portions of the world (including the UN secretary general) hadn't already spoken up about the problems. The only reason he probably cares is it allows him to attempt to paint the US as worse than his home country.

You realize that coming from a Kim Jong such criticisms aren't actual issues he has with someone like Obama but merely he's hopping onto a bandwagon and generally just trying to make himself look better by tearing Obama down, right? It's important to draw a distinction between actual principled objections and generally opportunism if you actually want to be taken seriously as someone with principles etc. Someone with actual principles does not support opportunism, much like a pacifist does not support using violence.

It's easier to lambast another country for their racial issues when you rule a country that one has one

NK has consistently critisized US race relations as one of their boilerplate 'why the US is terrible and worse then us' propoganda going back to the end of the war. this stuff is actually classic soviet propoganda stuff- sure we have breadlines, but look at the crazy US and how racist they are and how their inner cities are war zones and the white people are keeping the blacks down, etc etc etc.

we have no problem with racism. We avoid the problem by discouraging diversity in the first place. Long live the Mother Russia!
