(WGAL 8)   Fortunately for one Canadian family, their house is not haunted. However the noises they were hearing were real. And they were made by a 10-foot Burmese python   (wgal.com ) divider line 69

Are they missing any small children or pets?

I think I'd rather ghosts.

Get out of my head or pay rent.

Honestly - ghosts, I can dismiss.  A python is where I absolutely, completely, inescapably Lose. My. shiat.

It's a non venomous snake, and at 10 feet an adult shouldn't have to much trouble grabbing the head. The only real problem will be if it drinks to much and you have to drain it.

I don't get the fascination with having a python, or any snake, as a pet. I guess they're kinda cool to look at, but it just seems cruel to have a large reptile cooped up in an aquarium.

Maybe I you think you are rescuing it from a pet shop or shelter ? Do they have snake shelters ?

Bonus Question: Would you prefer a python or the ghost of a python.

I theorized that all hunted houses/building/appartment/locations fall in those categories (in no particular orders):
1- People lying.
2- House/building/environment making noises due to climate changes (temperature, humidity, pressure)
3- Optical illusions. (I saw a ghost once in the living room from the kitchen in the corner of my eye when I believed in such things, I'm now pretty sure it was a car passing on the street reflecting the sun in the living room window and my brain interpreting it as someone floating through the living room.)
4- Hallucinations. (My ghost might have been all in my head, maybe a neuron misfired or was hit by a cosmic ray. I've also seen thing in the corner of my eye when sleep deprived)
5- Insects or animals
6- Prankster(s)
7- Mental health issues
8- Dreams, including day dreams (including where you don't realized you've fallen asleep and awakened) and sleep paralysis

Some of those also applies to alien abductees.
Feel free to add other categories that do not require paranormal explanations.

CSB time: There is some type of smallish black snake that is living in my house I am almost ok with.  It stays hidden almost all the time and if I see it I don't disturb it.  There was one time he was hidden near the toilet and I thought I had enough and was going to dice him but by time I got back from the kitchen with a cleaver he was gone.  On a positive note my house is mouse free and and I don't see any snake crap or skins.  I don't have any pets and not really sure if a feral snake that hangs out in my house counts.

Kreist, I would be running around the living room doing jazz hands above my head gibbering incoherently if I walked in on a snake beside my toilet.

No, the snake just hibernates then. You need the gorilla to eat the snake first, then you turn off the heat an have it freeze.

My grandpa let a big black snake live in his barn for years, because it was eating the mice that the cats didn't get.  I didn't know this of course, until after I'd been playing in the barn for awhile . . .

Bad/old electrical wiring. A 50 year old breaker or fuse box that's overloaded can put out EM radiation that screws with you. Knew an electrician who loved to show his spinning meter when they said how creepy his "haunted shop" was. He would take customers to the back and show them how the meters would get even crazier as they got closer to the electrical box. And you could see hallucinations as you got closer.

He swore the shop was like that when he bought it because altering it to do that would violate the building code. But he did buy it specifically to demonstrate what crappy wiring can do.
