Has Paul Ryan ever "Fixed" anything in his entire political career let alone life?

http://skepticism.org/timeline/may-history/8329-paul-ryan-reread-ayn -r and-fountainhead-bible.html

Paul Ryan talks about which books he re-reads most often:
"The Bible, Friedrich von Hayek's The Road to Serfdom and Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged."

- Insight on the News

http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Protected/Articles/000/000/002 /3 39ooaxm.asp

His staff, however, gets the benefit of his pedagogical streak. "I give out 'Atlas Shrugged' [by Ayn Rand] as Christmas presents, and I make all my interns read it. Well, . . . I try to make my interns read it." Ryan "looked into" Ayn Rand's philosophy, Objectivism, when he was young, he says, but he is a Christian and reads the Bible frequently.

Ryan has plans that have specifics attached to them?  They'll never see the light of day in today's GOP, at least right up until they can be ramrodded through without debate.

The key is to keep things vague.  Don't produce any actual policy that you can be criticized for up front.

"Ryan is the heavy favorite to become chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee"

This should scare the living piss out of every American.

Gee, that is so original and BIG.

In the land of morons, the man who is merely slow shall be king.

Nobody understand or even reads his shiatty ideas, certainly no conservatives do, they just assume he knows what he's talking about and treat him like the emperor with a new suit of clothes.

In an interview with The Wire, the GOP's vice presidential nominee in 2012 preached prudence for his party in the short term, tempering expectations for what a Congress fully under Republican control could accomplish while President Obama remains in the White House.

So you feel Obama would be intransigent, and unwilling to work with Congress in a spirit of compromise? How terrible that would be.

Ryan is a political blunderer.

He has lost any political leverage he may have once had by trying to cut backroom deals on illegal immigration.

He's done.   Burnt toast.

He came to this area (Florida panhandle) for a book signing a few days ago. We are truly a bastion of extreme right wing derptitude, yet Ryan could barely muster a total of 80 people for the entire event. When our local newspaper advertised the event online, the negative response to his being here was about 10 to 1 against. Paul Ryan did me a solid, he got my wife to consistently vote anti-GOP for the first time in her life and now she is actually 'paying attention'. Previously she had based her party allegiance solely on who she felt would best protect her assets and keep taxes lowest (the very definition of 'voting your wallet')

But when he and the entire GOP house decided to grab the third rail and began openly advocating getting rid of MEDICARE and cutting Social Security after the 2010 mid-terms in favor of 'more tax cuts for the rich'; she was finished with them. She began to really exam the corporate influence on lawmakers and that the US government leadership is not only up for sale to the highest bidder, but monied interest are actually controlling the message.

We both vote a more progressive ticket and she has done a complete 180 degree turnaround on her views on same sex marriage and the need for government watchdogs on the financial industry after the derivatives and real-estate lending debacle.

That guys message was only embraced by the stupidest of voters. I'm talking about people that were actually dependent on MEDICARE and Social Security (or will be) voting against allowing the programs to survive. He's about as popular as cancer. Now the GOP instead will have to continue to rely on subterfuge to allow ALEC and corporate interest to dictate state-level legislation, gerrymandering and trying to write laws preventing people from voting and remaining in power by fear, racism, and the 3 G's.

Ryan reminds me of the smarmy little POS that used to get in good with the teachers then get both the jocks AND the geeks in trouble.  Then wouldn't get out of eyesight or earshot of the teachers since he knew he'd get the living shiat kicked out of him if either group ever caught him alone.

Plus, he's got a face that just SCREAMS for a fist put square into the center of it.

Just in case you ever wonder - "crime; boy I don't know secret plan to fight inflation get bin Laden" is when I decided to kick your ass.

// Paul is tired of getting ignored when his plans do have specifics, so he'll sit back and be an "ideas man" like Gingrich until the party begs him to run in 2016
// joke's on him - the party will have moved on to RANDPAUL or Santorum by 2016

The best part is the way his tax plan relied heavily on the projected savings from OC/ACA to balance it. Notthatthereisanytingwrongwiththat.

"Look, we need to have a fully Republican government in order to enacct these policies.  Not, of course, the fully Republican government we had under George W. Bush.  True, at that point, we were more interested in spending lots more money, ringing up bigger deficits and blowing shiat up - kinda like we wanted to do under Reagan.  But now, we're totally going to cut spending and such, but only if we get all Republicans in office.  IT'S THAT IMPORTANT!"

Do any of Mr. Ryan's big plans have circles and arrows?

FTFA: In an interview with The Wire, the GOP's vice presidential nominee in 2012 preached prudence for his party in the short term, tempering expectations for what a Congress fully under Republican control could accomplish while President Obama remains in the White House.

That means that Ryan's far-reaching, but politically fraught plans for overhauling entitlement programs and the tax code are likely going to stay in the development stage for another two years.

TRANSLATION: "Mr. Ryan actually sat down and ran the numbers on his plan, and realized that it would pretty much wreck what is left of the economy. It seems he had made a math error on Page 2 of his plan..."

He might be, I don't really know.  My point was more that he could be, I dunno, a vibrating-belt-fat-jiggler or squat-thrusts-and-swimming-in-the-river kind of guy, but whatever it was he'd probably yammer on about it quite obnoxiously.

O come on!  Do it Ryan!  Put your money where your mouth is!  If its what the people want, you and the rest of the GOP will ride into victory for 2014 and beyond!

Cut the foreplay and just say it: " Slash domestic spending, massive tax cuts for the rich, and military spending that will given Reagan awood from the grave."
