The funny part is the poor person you give rice to has to give a bucket of rice to three other people.

That's one way to curry favor.

Is this where you make a bucket of rice last a year because you live in India, and hey, what choice do you have?

Pointless. You could pour a billion buckets of rice into India and you will not solve issue one.

The "Stop breeding like rabbits" challenge or the "Voluntary Sterilization" challenge would be far more effective, not forgetting the "Let the caste system die already" challenge.

There are hilarious compilations of absolute idiots attempting the ice bucket challenge, There are injuries aplenty, all completely earned. Good times.

Is that where like in days of old, a common torture/execution method was to dump a bucket of dry rice down someone's throat followed by the hot water causing not only burns from the water but even worse your stomach bloats when the rice expands causing your stomach to burst? That would be cool if that made a comeback. /dnrtfa either

Incidentally, opting for the ALS one means you'll be.....

" and is proving a hit across the country. In fewer than 24 hours, the challenge's Facebook page has well over 2000 likes."   Oooh 2000 likes......thats enough to feed many people....assuming likes are edible!

Coincidentally, I have a big homer bucket (the orange ones from home depot) full of rice in my pantry.

I thought it would be a good idea to buy rice from Costco.  Yeah, 25 pounds of rice will last a while, but the bag sure as hell doesn't.

Ice is too valuable a commodity here in Florida, to just be dumping it on peoples heads. When it's 95 out, it's best to keep ice in the cooler to keep beer, water and soft drinks cold. Why waste it?
