Heh, didn't think of that one, but I'd say we're done here.

That's really great. They wanted to suspend him for a full season. Beat your fiancee? No problem, two games. Have 2 beers at home? A season pled down to 4 games.

The NFL is ridiculous.

Ok, I agree with you for the most part, but Prater is not supposed to drink because the courts have decided his drinking is hazardous to society following his DUI.

That was from 2011. Is the drinking ban still in place?

Apparently, according to TFA.  Which is why he's now suspended.

Ridiculous.  Absolutely ridiculous.

One would think drinking AND DRIVING would be hazardous to society. Drinking 2 beers at home isn't hazardous to anything but his liver.

The only way he was still under some kind of court ordered supervision and monitoring for a DUI arrest 3 years ago is by completely farking up during that period multiple times already.

And if that's the case he's actually pretty damm lucky, because a normal man would be sitting in jail for that kind of stuff, not worrying about missing a few weeks pay

Goddamn.

When players get DUI's they have to enter the League substance abuse program which mandates no alcohol or any other drugs for the rest of the time they are in the NFL. It has been this way for years, this same thing has happened to many other players and I'm sure it happened to Brett Farve also.

In other news, Sam Bradford blew his ACL, out for the season.

BJ Raji ripped his bicep, out for the season. JC Tretter, Green Bay's starting center, has a 'significant knee injury', out multiple weeks, don't know if surgery needed yet

Even better, his was negotiated down from a full year (which is what he would have gotten since he's been in the substance abuse program).

Now, they almost have no excuse not to reduce Josh Gordon's suspension.

Holy crap!! Not that the Rams were going to be anything special, but losing Bradford for the year, guarantees them another losing record. This sucks. What a shame.

Since booze and pot are not performance-enhancing drugs, they should be outside the drug program. If you want to drink yourself out of a very lucrative career, that's your funeral.

Can Bradford getting farked up again really be classified as 'news'?  It's more business-as-usual by now.

From my experience of having him in the past, the Ryan Mathews special is a decent start to a game followed by a fumble AND an ankle injury in the 2nd quarter where he only gets another 4 or 5 touches the rest of the game, or fails to return at all.

When I had TF, it was easy to get an insta-green by submitting sports threads and notifying the admins about the link. I got an easy green for an NBA playoff thread that way by flagging my NBA playoff thread and telling the admins that the games started in 5 minutes. 5 minutes later, my thread went up.

It's funny.  I could have sworn, up and down, when John Harbaugh started coaching, that he was the one who had a long QB career.  I still think it was him, unless I stop and remind myself that it was actually Jim.

I think most of Mark's problem was the Jets system.  He was an exotic bird trapped in a cage in the depths of a coal mine.  Now he's free we will see what he can truely be.

I'm totally kidding.  But who doesnt see butt fumble 2?  Im really hoping this happens just for the shenanigans.
