Is it a Bollywood film? After they kill her does everyone break out into a lavish 2 hour long song and dance number?

I think it's the Ben Kingsley film, in which case 37 hours will allow you to watch it all the way through twice, and get you about a quarter of the way through the third viewing.

If they don't have commercial interruptions.

They should just show Gandhi II instead.

On the other hand, he rocked in Sexy Beast.

Should I feel dumb for thinking until recently that Indira Gandhi was related to THAT Gandhi?

Also, I didn't know she was also assassinated. People named Gandhi can't catch a break.

/Really showing my dumb American-ness

A couple of weeks back, while I was on vacation, I saw Nick Cage in a high end restaurant.  I believe celebrities are people, too, so I didnt want to annoy him, but did kind of watch him.  I did notice that the server brought him some bread, and he waved it away.  I guess there were papparazi there, taking pictures of him through the glass, or maybe inside.  Anyways, the next day, I saw on several websites, "Nick Cage Turns Down Roll".

Subby means the "Law and Order" situation?  Cause that already runs 37 hours a day on 8 channels.  Not sure what that has to do with Gandhi though.

I really would love to see a Sisto/D'Onofrio crossover spinoff. The former's stayed on at the 2 and become Lieutenant, latter cut loose from the department for his mental issues. Nobody'll listen to him due to that except...yeah, I've fanfic'ed this too much.

If you know any Sikhs don't praise any Gandhi in their presence. The indian government has not been good to them and there is still a lot of bitterness about it.

I know you are being cute, but Gandhi did contain an intermission.  My DVD stops the film and displays an "Intermission" interstitial for about 15 minutes before resuming.

Isn't that what that Florida guy wanted to do with the Dinesh D'Souza movie?  Good luck to
them both....in 1937, Benito Mussolini tried to force-feed Italians a movie he'd made about a Roman
military victory, but it turned into Italy's first midnight movie.

the Strangeloves did it in 1965.

Thanks! I gave it a listen and LOVED the old surf guitars, sax and drum line. I remember the Bow Wow Wow version as one of the earliest MTV videos. While I was listening to the Strangeloves version, I found out a few interesting trivia bits.

This song was inspired by Candy Johnson, one of the lead dancers featured in the American International "Beach Party" movies of the early 1960's.
1.bp.blogspot.com

The song was written by Bert Berns, Bob Feldman, Jerry Goldstein and Richard Goettehrer. Bob Feldman is the father of child actor, Corey Feldman.

Although Feldman, Goldstein and Gottehrer used their real names in the writing and production credits of this single, they claimed The Strangeloves were actually three Australian brothers (and ex-sheep farmers) named Giles, Miles and Niles Strange. Feldman, Goldstein and Gottehrer dressed up in shaggy wigs and exotic clothing for publicity photos as The Strangeloves.

Thanks again, I love old surf-style guitars and music. The Ventures & Dick Daleplay regularly at Casa Dahnkster

You know the part where the British bring up the Vickers guns and start shooting Indians?  I was all like "Alright, now we have some *ACTION*".
