^This.

Oh, and good morning. It might be just you and me for the early game, and I'm still a bit tequila'd from last night...

You can see the difference in class between the soon to return to the Premier League side and the hard working but but talentless scum

I'm here too, watching the Ipswich/Norwich derby. 0-0 early on.

I just rolled out of bed.  Had to start the coffee.

Apparently Liverpool decided they needed to re-up their amount of crazy

That's fine. I've been doped up on cold medication for the last couple days so I'm a bit loopy. Will United handle their business easily at Sunderland tomorrow?

Premier League class showing through. 1-0 to Norwich

Indeed. 1-0 Canaries.

I have a very minor rooting interest in Ipswich, so I agree with your point, but disagree with your characterization.

If United sell Welbeck, I'm giving up the sport entirely.

Will Liverpool fans boo Balotelli given that he has been racially abused before?

Haha.  Still you can see the class Norwich has.  But Fulham dominated early on Ipswich too,  then lost.

Sad to see Snodgrass get hurt for Hull.  Such a good player for you guys.

From your lips to God's ears, but I'm not counting on it.

Long version: RvP could well be back, which should help, but there will probably be other line up changes, with new signings, players returning from injury, etc. It could be weeks before we see anything close to a stable line up for Utd, and that's not going to help them settling into the system that, FWIW, looked effective in pre-season and seems to suit the squad when everybody is fit.

So I'll settle for scraping a win and moving on.

Snodgrass was a great player for us and deserves a long stint in the PL. Sad to see him go but that's what happens when you sack the manager too early/late

He won't, unfortunately. Paperwork had to be submitted yesterday, but the personal details needed probably aren't going to be finished until later today, if not tomorrow.

You are just bitter about that 86th minute Ipswich equaliser.

I just worry there aren't enough soccer balls to go around once Lallana comes back.  Going to be some grumpy forwards

Should be an easy win for United, even without a full lineup, but you never can tell with them anymore. The games that they drop are shocking.

That's a shame. That would have added quite the flair to what's already shaping up to be a good match.

Langston: After seeing the scoreline, my decision to sleep in a little bit today seems well justified.

Hasn't been terrible.  Sloppy, yes, but chances at both ends in the first half.

2014-08-23 09:01:10 AM
Also, calling this game as a 1-1 scoreline suddenly seems optimistic. Villa is terrible at home and Newcastle struggles on the road.

Horrible miss by Newcastle there. Atrocious.

My scoreline has a chance, then. What I've seen the last few minutes has been pretty sloppy.

If there is one man that can help Newcastle score, it's Phillipe Sendeross. He is a swiss cheese defender.

GG Norwich.  Clearly better than Town. Definite promotion contenders.

What's the point of hitting an empty stadium? Don't get me wrong, I'm super glad nobody was hurt. I just don't get it.

Some of the "rebels" dont really know how to use artillery, if it was them

There was an intercept released by Kiev of the rebels discussing accidentally bombing a village.  In the end they decided it was best to have a drink and not think about too much.

Maybe the Dynamo Kyiv fans wanted a piece of the action.
