Not every game with squares in it is just like Minecraft.

Whoever's posting these videos from Action A Go Go, please stop it.  Just post the original YouTube link.  That 'share me' bar that blocks the video (on a standard 1024-wide screen) is incredibly annoying.

A little early to get hyped.  Game will look/feel even less like mine craft as dev continues.

Also this isn't doing anything new really other than giving players ability to draw out rainbow 6 plans (which might be cool).  It's really just pushing the coop play that so many games at e3 were pushing, or it's just doing what CS did 15 years ago.

Throwing demo charges on peoples back as they run back to their group was some of the funniest moments in MP history.

Seems interesting, and though the team has yet to include the art, I want to see an FPS game which uses extremely simplified graphics. We have a host of retro or simplified games from the indie development community, but nothing I recall in FPS which stands as having low technical specs to operate yet a high complexity level and utilitarian style.

If that's what passes for 'innovative new features' in FPSes these days then you'd best just put the genre out of its misery.

Despite your splitting hairs, games like Counter-Strike and Rainbow Six were doing this 15 years ago. (And by that I mean introducing a strategic element that will ultimately be ignored by the entire player base in favor of 360 no-scoping.)

Why do you think it'll have a low polygon count. Can you read? *yawn*

Game's in very very early alpha.  Graphics are simple place holders, but the game play is a absolute blast.

There's no splitting of hairs.  I see you cynics citing Red Faction OR Counter-Strike/Rainbow Six but I don't see you citing one game that combines the best of both.  You're like the people who said, "Who needs television? You can already hear stories on the radio or watch silent movies.  We've been doing that for years".

According to lore Daikatana was pretty lethal with doors too, truly a progenitor to your precious little counterstrike knock-off.  Good luck, I'm sure that feature will make it stand out and shine brilliantly among the sea of FPS garbage out there right now.

Btw, you wanna see true innovation in the FPS realm?  Check this shizzle out:

is there any particular reason you're acting like a bitter little twat over this or is that just your default setting? you sound like a jilted lover. I'm truly sorry you can't see the possibilities a game like this opens up but then that's really just your problem.

Yup. Two things that make me run screaming from a game lately: block graphics and roguelike (especially if the latter is applied to anything but an RPG)

Might be a bit tricky to find an Imlac PDS-1 from 1973 to run it on, mind.

I made a single snarky comment in a thread boasting about how this game here is 'the most fun game...ever' and its white knights responded in equal amounts of (pathetic) snark, that's all there is to this.  Welcome to fark,  lethal door counterstrike with graphics that'd make a '90s game chuckle.  I hadn't even brought up how awesome it is that they've captured the excitement of WoW's pre-raid planning & coordination phase before your 10 seconds of action.

This game requires 8 people to get on voice coms, cooperate, and listen to one guy making a plan. So... yeah.
