On my way to work there is one house that had at least 30 inflatables outside and it was about April until most were down. There is still one up in the side yard still inflated.

The plan at the retail pharmacy chain where I work is to have the candy side of the seasonal aisle set up by Sept 3, with the decor/costumes side ready 10 days later.

We already have Christmas items in our stock room.

Ah, the age-old story about "AHHH!!! Look at how X is getting put out earlier and earlier. Next thing you know, they'll have Christmas stuff out in March!".

/ This type of annual news story and consumer complaint is old

I saw something on the news the other day about some stores already putting up Christmas stuff. Someone needs to die for this.
