When has a fried mozzarella stick ever been disgusting?

Gig103: When has a fried mozzarella stick ever been disgusting?

Never. The answer is never. But with McDonald's, I have a feeling I won't be able to eat them because they'll be triple-thick coated in a pure wheat and sugar batter.

Made with 100% mozzarella nuggets

Checkers tried this a while back.  What they did, essentially, was take some mozzarella cheese and coat it in the same seasoning that their fries are coated in.

It tasted as bland as you could imagine.  I was seriously unimpressed, and rather pissed at the price they wanted for them.

Tried it once, and never got them again.

Arby's has them and they have an overly thick batter IMO.  I prefer the ones with a breadcrumb coating to the battered ones.  Serving temperature is also important - ideally the cheese should still be a viscous liquid instead of mostly solid.

Best I've ever had were from a bowling alley in my old hometown.  Nice and thin with a breadcrumb crust, and served so hot that you'd get a squirt of melty cheese and hot oil as soon as you bit into one.

They have ones like that at the movie theater we go to.  Hot hot and squirty, but they make each order separately and they come right out the oil so they're nice and fresh.

Mozzarella sticks are like sex, even when it's bad it's still kind of good.

The breading on a chicken wrap adds an unfathomable amount of calories and fat compared to the grilled version.

I can't imagine that fat and curd, fried in fat and covered in carby goodness can be any better.

They will somehow fark up mozarella sticks just like Dominoes farked up pizza and Budweiser farked up beer.

Doesn't Jack In The Box have this? It seems pretty simple, but I have faith in McDonald's ability to ruin it.

Depends, really. I've had mozzarella sticks and I've had "mozarella" sticks. The latter is rather disgusting.

I'll bet the stick has the most flavor.

I'd be loving it.

Mcdonald's will have a "mozzarella product", most likely, with enough chemicals to preserve a mummy for a millennium

Nope, the exact opposite. It'll become a cumulative butt diamond of bastardized McMozerrella evil. It will never escape nor leave. It will wait. It will sulk and fester until it finally swells in your belly until it rears it's ugly McMozzerella head in Aliens belly exploding like chaos. It will leave the survivors spattered with the evil that is any fast food salmonella sauce and sadness. Many will weep.

Sounds good :)

In six months, will we be able to tell the dried up mozzarella sticks from the dried up french fries under the car seat?

McDonald's has done similar things in the past to pretty good effect.  For a while you could actually get individual pizzas from certain McD's locations that were really good.  The Wal-Mart in Carson City had a McD's inside that served those little pizzas.  They were a bit pricey, but damn tasty.  My younger brother and I ate quite a few of those in our childhood.  Pity they discontinued them completely.

Anyway, this might be good, or it might be crap.  It's an admittedly simple formula so they don't have that working against them, at least.

The mozzarella sticks will be made from the secret formula that contains 11 urps and spices.

Envious, I guess.

I have never heard of this combination until now. A quick google looks like it's a New York thing. Not the real NY, but Albany.

It is now actually edgy to like McDonalds I guess since now the only opinion allowed is to hate it.
Liberals used to be so punk rock, it's so sad what they've become....
I farking love mcdonalds.
I love their breakfast sandwiches.
I love the regular cheeseburger.
And they have the best fries on planet Earth.

It pains me to say that the capitol of New York is most definitely not the real New York, however it happens to be a

part of New York State. never the less try it. It is good!

I must add because you mentioned "not the real N.Y." Most people from upstate could easily do without N.Y.C
