Nobody knows. All the results were stolen, along with the pinball machines.

Chicago Coin's "Central Park" and Bally's "Spiderman."  Mrs. Packman was fun also.

Did they also ban chess? People gamble on it.

Favorite pinball table thread?  Currently hooked on the Tron table at my local movie theater.  Hard to find good classics around here though.  Personally love Monster Bash and Get Medieval.

Agreed, though I preferred Bride of Pin*Bot for the full play experience.

Did you know that the original name for Pac-Man was Puck-Man? You'd think it was because he looks like a hockey puck but it actually comes from the Japanese phrase 'Paku-Paku,' which means to flap one's mouth open and closed. They changed it because they thought Puck-Man would be too easy to vandalize, you know, like people could just scratch off the P and turn it into an F or whatever.

Too bad they opened the door after the barn burned down.  As of Jan. 2013, there is only one manufacturer left in the world (Stern), and most machines from the 80-90s use technology that no longer is used, so fixing/upkeeping them is very difficult.

Gone from the pinball scene:

Data East
Midway
Bally
Gottlieb
Sega

Whats next, lifting a ban on cork guns?

Hard to beat PinBot. The T2 and Adams Family machines were fun in the nineties. Sadly I can't think of anywhere near me that actually has a table anymore.

Pinball tourney hosted by Radio Shack, because of course.

The Simpsons pinball is actually my favorite machine, but I'm too young to have gotten to play most pinball tables.

Tales from the Crypt
Tommy
Pinbot
Addams Family
Stargate
Apollo 13 (well, mainly for the 13-multiball)

So many quarters. So many happy times.

Well, now it won't be too long before they allow slow dancing in that town.

My personal favorite:

My friend had one of these when he had a pinball/video game business. Ironically just a few miles south of Oakland.

Every pinball FARKer needs to play this machine at least once in their lives.

Data East became Sega, and Sega became Stern, so in a way those are still around.

Jersey Jack Pinball is making Wizard of Oz (with Bally/Williams parts), and they have The Hobbit and a game designed by Pat Lawlor (Addams Family, Twilight Zone, Funhouse) in the works.

There are also several niche companies producing new full-size games.

Common parts are still readily available, and many game-specific parts get remade.

There are tournaments everywhere right now. Pinball's "barn" is no where close to being burned down!

Oakland held a month-long pinball tourney....guess that's why Tony Bennett left his heart in
San Francisco.   ("I left my hearrrrrt....in Oakland"?  No, sorry, doesn't work......maybe I'd rather be
in Auckland....yes, in New Zealand.)

A "Big Bang" pinball machine....does it go "bazinga" instead of "tilt"?

I have one of the original collectors editions of the Addam's Family game (Gold Edition). I had no idea it was the highest selling Pinball machine of all time until I after I got one from my old boss (I used to work at a big arcade chain back in Michigan when I was going to college).

Fantastic game.

NES is the bay area's current wizard. His initials have been found on games all over the country. He's the odds on favorite to win the game.

I have the GC scores on a couple of games in the south bay, but I can't touch Neil's scores.

Theatre of magic ftmfw. This thread makes me want to go to silverball in Asbury to play five hours of theatre of magic for five bucks. Pinbot, never got the love for it. Second tier pin to me.
