Sick tag?

Does subby not like maple syrup?

Publix recently started offering 'waffle chicken tenders' in the hot deli case, which are apparently chicken tenders with a syrup infused crust.  I tried them, and they're not half bad.

They also had Dulce de Leche in a squeeze bottle on clearance on that trip, a deal I couldn't turn down, which was a nice accompaniment to the wafflized chicken.

Mmmmm, sugar-infused bigotry.

The sweeter the chicken, the stronger the hate

It's theocratically delicious.

I guess it's good to see Chic-Fil-A is finally adding some type of flavor to their chicken.

2014-08-21 02:05:13 AM
Mmmmmmmmmm. That is all.

2014-08-21 02:08:33 AM
Doesn't sound half bad to me.

Maple bacon is good too. =)

If this became popular would the maple reserves hold?  Or would we hit peek maple?

Dulce de leche/manjar is such a mild flavor, though. Real maple syrup is a miracle from the gods.

Two days' worth of calories in one sitting. It's just so damn..... efficient.

Might try it.  Doesn't sound too fowl to me.

If Popeye's, Church's or even K.F.C tried this, it would probably work.

That being said, I never see black people at Chick-fil-a and I don't know who the intended demographic is here. I don't know if white people are going to order waffles with their chicken there.

I finally caved and ate one of their sandwiches.

Meh.  They take the most tasteless part of the chicken  (the breast) underspice it (I like fire or at least some got damned pepper) and although granted they do a bang up job of frying said bland collection of nondescript lackage it still amounts to a heap of suck if that's all you do (you had ONE JOB!jpeg).

It was so wildly and blandly non-offensive that I proposed gay marriage to the first Christian I saw just to spice things up.

I like the regular chicken biscuit with the polynesian sauce but i would give this a go.

this might be the weed overdose talking but i'd eat like 6 of them.

You clearly have never been to a chick-fil-a in the midsouth. I'm in Memphis the demographic of any chick-fil-a here is about 50/50.

What would happen if you soaked chicken overnight in maple syrup?
Also, Chil-fil-et (sp) puts crack in their lemonade. Tasty, tasty.crack.

Yeah, I didn't get the impression from TFA that the chicken had syrup in it.

People who don't live in LA don't know what they're missing; chicken and waffles is farking awesome, period. If you fly into LAX, go north past the In N' Out (the most crowded In N' Out in the world, so you'll never get in), until you get to Manchester, and then go east. If you hit the Forum, you've gone too far.

You are not wrong. I rarely eat there but the lemonade is my special treat about once a month.

I like waffles with maple syrup and I like chicken.  That doesn't mean I want the two together.  I also like steak and ice cream.  Maybe that combo will be next.

Boo_Guy: If this became popular would the maple reserves hold? Or would we hit peek maple?

It's not like these places use real maple, just maple flavoring.  Hell 80% of the maple syrup on store shelves is just maple flavored corn syrup.  Most people don't even know the difference.

Be careful people. Under Fark's new rules you can't say anything negative about chiks. Even if they were asking for it because they covered themselves in delicious syrup.

Bathysphere: I eat my chicken with honey so I'm down for this.

I had a friend who did that.  For a long time we used to go to a local restaurant that had a weekly special on their chicken tenders, which we would have with honey mustard.  One day he decided to switch from honey mustard to just honey and he fell in love with it.  Raved about for weeks.

I gave it a try.  It was good, but not that much better than honey mustard.

Burn me on a stake made out of maple using maple wood chips as the fuel or boil me in a vat of Poutine (again maple chips, blah, yadda and so on) for this if you want but I really, really don't like maple flavored anything, and yes that includes... Bacon.

There, I said it. Keep that Canadian\Maine\Vermont blood sap away from me, those people are evil incarnate hiding behind a facade of kindness and I can taste it in their maple syrup. I've been watching The Amazing Race: Canada and they will fark each other just as much as Joe-Bob and his clown car wife\cousin Jenny-Jean would to the other teams would for the prize. I've been to Maine and they give the absolute worst driving directions to get to a place 20 miles away. "Go about a mile down the road where the old Johnson barn was before it burned down two years ago and then hang a left at the corner where old Mr. Smith ran into the Browns wooden fence that one time when he was drunk when the Bruins won a game against the Leafs" is not helpful you northern redneck @%^*#!.

Give me a berry based syrup and I'm just fine. A bit closer to becoming a diabetic maybe, but fine.

But I do like Canadian bacon, so thank you for that... You America's hat motherfarkers.

Because the amount better peanut oil is for frying outweighs the amount better it would be to get a few weird nut-allergy people into the store.

Peanut is a good oil. Great for chicken. And there aren't enough snowflakes to change for. There are other places snowflakes can go.

I like it up the butt as much as the next man in the fark train, but I also love me some Chik-Fil-A. It's a shame I can't get it in this tolerant, liberal hellhole anymore. And this sounds delicious.

2014-08-21 03:03:31 AM
Subby, where is the ironic tag? Anyone else take issue with Chik-fil-A trying to unnaturally stuff things in places that don't "naturally" have them stuffed in.

How about they use gluten free flour too for those with celiac.

Your snowflake is better off for not being able to eat there.

They're opening up a CFA in my hometown (Bellevue, WA).

Still not gonna eat there.
