I guess "long live purity" sounds better if you don't know about the former use if the word "nazi".
Savvy customers may question how the word "purity" aims to "make the German connection" though...

In Asia, the Nazis were heroes.

What's his face in Nanking saved a whole city block from the Japanese.

Young Taiwan students can and will quote that 20,000,000 Chinese were killed by the Japanese in World War ll, but don't seem to have a dog in the fight about Japan's ally the Nazis.

I know Asia is weird as hell but what's the deal with all the Nazi themed stores are restaurants? I've literally hear multiple examples of this kind of stuff. Get it together East Asians.

Just go to the restaurant down the street. Their Arbeit Macht Freid Chicken is just terrific.

I didn't hear anyone complaining about Himmler's homemade lasagna, Goebbel's garlic shrimp linguine or Mengele's Morrocan style stuffed acorn squash.

The air traffic controllers were asleep, and did Nazi that coming.

the restaurant faced so many complaints from the public that it decided to change the name of the dishes

I can't believe they did Nazi that coming.

Because Western history isn't necessarily taught in Eastern countries, the younger generations may view Hitler as simply an "iconic" symbol, like Elvis, Marilyn, or Ronald McHitler.

People in-the-know are probably going to keep ordering it by the original name.

Yes, "Long Live Purity" is much better as long as no one interprets that as "racial purity," which they inevitably will. The sincerity of the statement that it was just meant to point out the "German" nature of the dish is completely lost when you change "The Nazis" to a principle the Nazis valued, as opposed to, say, "Bavarian Noodles."

I don't see the typo. Try describing a person being struck in the present tense. Fark ignores the space.

Nazis and purity are totally unrelated, so this should be cool.

All the same, he might want to update the meal's tag line: "won't give you gas (if you order the non-kosher version)."

It may have been popular, but it was guaranteed to give you gas.

I believe "being struck" is present tense (present participle). I am not sure how else to say it. Harry is stricken by Joe? Please give an example. Harry is struck by Joe? I would like to know what the filter is seeing.

It originally was "Mountain Dews" (insert space here) "Hitler did nothing wrong" flavor. The "S" word filter turns anything close to the "S" word into shiat (I typed the filtered word in there). It won't show up in the preview though.

The Nuclear powered carrier shorthand CVN followed by any of the numbers from 70 to 79 also gets an interesting treatment by the filter. CVN (insert space here) 75 becomescoont5

It's a strange thing to say considering the Nazis are pretty much gone.  Yes, there are neo-Nazis, but they are just hoodlums.

Thanks for the example, and now I see the error in my reply to NobleHam. My uncoffeed brain couldn't associate "strike" with "hit."

It's the same in the West but just flipped around. We spend so much learning about the atrocities committed about the Nazis but rarely pay much attention to what the Japanese did in the East. Western students can readily quote 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazis but few will tell you how many the Japanese murdered, despite it being a larger number.

Far right nationalism is alive and well, especially with the shiatty global economy. Pay attention to Europe. These thuggish neo Nazis are winning seats in various parliaments.

Doesn't that 20,000,000 number include battlefield deaths, or just straight up civilian executions? Because if you count battle and collateral casualties, Germany killed something like 30 million people in total. The Eastern Front was insane.

Because that would be in bad taste.
