This can only happen in Florida.

2014-08-19 01:09:13 PM
The courts should take care of that for you.  Especially if you don't spend any money defending it.

2014-08-19 01:18:32 PM
He told News 13 he actually meant to veto it when it came across his desk. However, there were many papers and he mistakenly signed it into law.

Riiiight
.  Ranks right up there with "the dog ate it."

And did the Florida tag get stuck in a buttcrack?

"The law fines violators up to $500 and threatens jail time."

Sheesh. I'm glad the crap we wore didn't attract the attention of lunatics like these. I never would have made it out of HS.

I did a dime for wearing parachute pants back in the 90s.  Luckily I was able to get both my record and my wardrobe expunged.

And you had the courage to come here and face us all with the terrible truth about your wardrobe record.  Bravo fine sir.

There's no way a sagging pants law could hold up in court. I'm amazed they even exist.

I can't believe people still pretend to be shocked that the US isn't some model of freedom and justice.

Why is the NAACP involved? What does saggy pants have to do with race, exactly? I've seen plenty of asshats - of all ethnic origins - who don't understand the concept of dressing themselves properly.

If Michael Brown had worn saggy pants he wouldn't have been able to run from the officer and would still be alive today. I suggest that all black teens be mandated to wear their pants around their knees.

I think sagging pants look ridiculous, but anyone who supports a ban on "sagging" and then turns around and crows about America being the land of Liberty needs to get their head checked, because there are some screws loose.

Not a male. 60 ain't old anymore, it's the new 40. I like to drive with the knowledge of what is around me. Like tripping on pants and falling into my lane sort of stuff.

Meh, pull your pants up.
You're not thugs.

You don't carry a Thompson .45

I do.

The way I see it, as long as I'm not seeing side ball accidentally, people can wear what they want.  This country is founded on the principle that everyone is free to be an idiot so long as it doesn't infringe on anyone else's rights.

Do people even do that anymore? The younger gen is all into skinny jeans and button up shirts.

I'm not confused by the logistics of walking (well, I guess I am, as much as I'm confused by the fashion choice). What I don't get is the physics of it - how are the pants staying on around the thighs? My hips are the only thing keeping my jeans from hitting my ankles.

Everyone loves to make racist comments but I don't see anyone commenting on the real reason why black people can't afford belts.

That too.

But the walking with teeny tiny steps is most on my mind.

I gather they don't walk like gnomes in World of Warcraft, but keep up their swagger. So like, it'll take them ages to get anywhere, all the whilst looking somewhat amusing.

Maybe they're spreading their knees out, to use that as a barrier?

Spandex shorts back in the late 80's and early 90's I presume.  If not, then that was my doing for getting them banned

Waitaminit, yeah, the law is asinine and all, but you're missing the bigger picture.

THE MAYOR SIGNED SOMETHING HE DIDN'T READ!

What is wrong with this googan?  Didn't he learn not to sign things that he hasn't read?  This is the dumbest excuse ever, and should preclude him from ever holding an office of public trust again.

When standing, just a little outward force to keep them in place. When walking, with one hand grasping the waist band.

/I see this a lot, sadly

By that standard, we'd have to fire every US congressman and senator. Do you really think they read all of the legislation they pass?
