So let me get this right, you kill someone (you think) and you want to bury him, but first you take him home and drag him in the house.

Don't you think it would be a better idea to leave the body in the car and just go in by yourself to get the girlfriend and a couple of shovels and go bury the body somewhere else?

What a dumbass.

On top of that, the article says he planned it. If he was going to need the girlfriend's help, it might have been a good idea to make sure she was onboard before doing anything.

Get cool, boy!
Got a rocket in your pocket,
Keep coolly cool, boy!
Don't get hot,
'Cause man, you got
Some high times ahead.
Take it slow and Daddy-O,
You can live it up and die in bed!

Boy, boy, crazy boy!
Stay loose, boy!
Breeze it, buzz it, easy does it.
Turn off the juice, boy!
Go man, go,
But not like a yo-yo schoolboy.
Just play it cool, boy,
Real cool!

Cunning plan thought completion and all that business. He should have just dumped the guy in a swamp. Even if he is alive, there's a pretty good chance he won't make it out in one piece.

Since we all know that both sides of the gun control argument get creative in their reports: I bet the anti-gun people catalog this one as yet another case of gun violence.

I also bet that the pro-gun people catalog this as "the current system works because the felon couldn't get a real gun".

dinch: gets another charge of possessing a fire arm as a convicted felon... and it's a freakin BB gun?!

this caught my eye...  i don't believe that a BB gun can count as a fire arm, so i looked up florida's description of a fire arm

felon with a firearm:
"(1)It is unlawful for any person to own or to have in his or her care, custody, possession, or control any firearm, ammunition, or electric weapon or device, or to carry a concealed weapon, including a tear gas gun or chemical weapon or device, if that person has been... (convicted of the enumerated list of crimes)"

descriptions:
"(6)"Firearm" means any weapon (including a starter gun) which will, is designed to, or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive; the frame or receiver of any such weapon; any firearm muffler or firearm silencer; any destructive device; or any machine gun. The term "firearm" does not include an antique firearm unless the antique firearm is used in the commission of a crime."

"(3)(a)"Concealed weapon" means any dirk, metallic knuckles, slungshot, billie, tear gas gun, chemical weapon or device, or other deadly weapon carried on or about a person in such a manner as to conceal the weapon from the ordinary sight of another person."

--

So, i don't think a bb gun is a firearm, because a bb is propelled by air pressure or a spring, not an explosive.  but, the concealed weapon catch-all can include anything.  .

Disclaimer: This is all hypothetical.

If I killed a guy, the LAST person I would involve would be the person I love. I wouldn't want her to be implicated in the crime. I wouldn't want her to form a negative opinion about me. I wouldn't want to make her deal with the horror of it all. I wouldn't want to risk her getting hurt. I wouldn't want her to be forced to incriminate herself or testify against me in court. I just WOULD NOT put her in that position.

All I have to say is that if your romantic partner asks you to become involved in their crime-- especially a violent crime-- then they're an asshole who doesn't deserve you, and you should RUN far and fast, and change your name, and never let them find you. Moving to another country might be a good idea.

If I committed a heinous, violent crime I'd do everything in my power to make sure every aspect of it stays FAR AWAY from my girl.

Therefore, the dude in TFA is a real piece of shiat. He'll be better off finding a "girlfriend" in prison.

The article didn't explicitly say that the firearm that he was charged with possessing was the BB gun. Maybe he had a real gun that he didn't bother to use to club the guy to unconsciousness with. I mean, that'd probably mess up the sights, and blood on the metal can mess up the finish. Nobody wants that.

Who am I kidding, he's not smart enough to have such considerations. The possession of a firearm as a felon will probably be contested if he has a decent public defender.

I can readily convert a BB gun to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive. I have a pistol and duct tape.

That is the problem with criminals, they are all stupid. I am pretty sure that has to go with the territory since you would have to be stupid to think you can get away with it.

I prefer psychopaths since they tend to be somewhat intelligent enough to get away with it for a time.

I underlined the two parts of the law that are going to be used in this case.  Basically, anything with a trigger and barrel, expels a projectile hard enough to break glass, or could be converted into something that expels a projectile with gun powder.  Basically, any canister with intent.
