It looks as if it were drawn by that woman who "restored" that painting of Jesus.

Does the face turn out the same if he merges the faces in a different order?

Like Doc 1 + Doc 7 instead of the way he did it?

They used to joke regularly about the Doctor's new looks after a regeneration. Pertwee's Doctor it was the eyebrows, Baker's Doctor it was the nose and ears, Eccelston's Doctor it was the ears. But one thing that I could never NOT notice was the tenth Doctor's lazy eye! They could have had so much fun with that, saying stuff like, "I can keep my eyes on two things at once," or stuff like that.

I think the take-away is that, on average, the 21st Century was exponentially hotter than the 20th Century. Proof of global warming?

Good question. I was wondering how they did the merging thing, and the way they did it makes sense, change two doctors into each other and stop in the middle. I wonder also(now that you brought it up) if it would change if they switched that around.

Thanks. Now I won't get to sleep tonight.

Shouldn't have they used the younger Paul McGann, at least I think they used the older version from Night of the Doctor for this.

Well that's the average face of each actor taken as equals.  To truly get the average face, average in how long each actor played the doctor as well by amount of time filmed.  Yes it would be heavily weighted in Tom Bakers favor.  By doing it by time filmed, you get away from the issues of episode count, when much of the classics were about 25 minutes long strung into (usually) a 4 part series, or do you count the whole "whovie" as a single episode.

Yeah, I know, they weren't very good movies nor canon but they were the subject of a couple of very good Rifftrax.

Yes, it is stated in the video that they did. So you either didn't pay attention or you didn't watch it and could figure that out from the resulting picture. The latter would be tremendously impressive!

Or should they weigh the faces according to the in-whoniverse lifetime of each regeneration? Matt Smith would take up roughly a quarter, but his look changes with "old age". Capaldi's weight is as yet unknown in this formula.

No. The question isn't "to whom are you referring?"

The question is, "Who is the Doctor?"

I love how the comments on TFA have somehow devolved into casting Al Pacino as the Doctor.

Guys, the A/V Club is out-weirding us. We can't stand for that!
