I still can't figure out who Rutina Wesley pissed off on the production team. Her "reappearances" barely register as necessary at all they all look to me like they were filmed on the same day and in a hurry. It's like they couldn't wait to get rid of her.

Tara was only a minor character in the books, and she outlived her usefulness on the series very quickly.  On the series I think she annoyed everyone.

The penultimate episode. And let Bill die if he wants to, he's annoying. Eric was always better.

Though it was strange how Pam really did not care at all that her progeny was killed, especially considering she's been released from Eric for quite some time.

I want to see Pam take Sookie out. Unfortunately, I never get what I want. :/

* He wants to get out of his contract quicker

* The Goddamn Batman

* We can NEVER get rid of Tara

* Because you're calling Anna Gunn instead

I, for one, would like to see Jessica use the sex toys on Sarah.

That would make for a great ending.

The only way this series can end to my satisfaction is a tactical nuclear strike on Bon Temps, centered right on Sookie's House.

That's the only way we can know for sure.

/Lafayette can live.
//And this won't get in the way of a Kevin Smith directed Pam and Eric's Video Store movie/series.

Is there any way that Sookie can die today? Because that would be nice.

Sounds like a great premise for a spinoff.

It's as if they asked Ilene Chaiken how to make a character as annoying as Jenny Schecter, and then doubled down on that. At least Jenny had the defense of being batshiat crazy.

Ilene would have kept Sookie and Bill together despite being annoying and abusive to each other.

You're suppose to, but it's not mandatory.

what_now: Should I care that Bill is going to die?

No. Nobody cares about Bill. Because Bill is the most boring vampire of them all. If he wasn't already sick and dying, they could finally make him interesting by having Pam fark him to death with that one implement from Seven that was used to kill the hooker. Eric could wear one as well, but with a wooden stake, to deliver the death blow.

What an utterly pointless episode. Except for the Jessica/ Hoyt reunion, this did nothing to wrap up any characters or move any plot points along.

I am glad there's only one more episode I have to watch to see this series to completion.  I am also glad "The Strain" is on so I have something to watch before John Oliver.

I know I've asked before, but is the book series at all worth reading?

I get bored with TV, but usually have a bit more staying power for novels since I can skim the shiat parts.

What I don't have any patience, at all, for is books where the female lead is basically a walking fark puppet, and spends all her time mooning over one man or another, noticing his sexy bits, going on about it, etc.  It's tiresome, and I won't read a male equivalent of it either.

The books are different. As someone who lived in the area, it really captures the feel of Northern Louisiana. The book series is different, but better, IMHO. She's not nearly as annoying. The books are a bit dated, especially the older ones. Also, she has zero fashion sense.

I like the idea of Bill's hep-v-via-fairy-blood turning him human. There must be a reason that Sookie keeps on making a point of the fact that she's the one who gave Bill hep-v besides her need to make everything about her, right? Otherwise, I'm not caring about Bill refusing the cure because it's too annoying.

Eric was so "good" to Ginger, and we still got a scream LOL.

I knew that Hoyt and Jason were going to switch girls, totally telegraphed.

Glad Sam left and got his wife and baby somewhere safe.

Get it over with already. I am so sick of this show. Typical Hollywood bs. Stretch out a story 3x as long as it should be. Other examples include Lost (which sucked), Matrix (should have been only 2 films) and what they are doing to The Hobbit.

The earlier ones are good. After a while, the author gets bored with Bill and he goes off, leaving Sookie to be a serial banger,

Note: no Tara, and Lafayette is just in one book.

This.  She should have stayed w/the weretiger.

Also, Jason's & Arlene's character arcs are WAAAAYYYY different in the books.  Other than that, they're honestly not worth reading.  They're slightly better written than Harlequin romances and Twilight books, but that's about it.  There are better vampire chick-lit novels out there if that's what you're looking for (there's a series about a vampire who was turned when she thought she could have stood to lose a few pounds.  Cute & well-written beach reading.  Can't remember the name of the series).

But if you're looking for good vampire novels, read The Strain or The Twelve.

Pretty much this and this. And I'll still hold out that he has some Billieth left where he can channel his cure to th other vampires.

I assume something weird will happen with Bill and the Hep-V that will keep him from dying. Maybe something stupid like he will become human or something due to the special Fay blood and Hep V combo. They are hitting us hard with his desire to have a family.

That seems to be the most accurate I'm afraid.

Then Anna's real-life red-headed sister shows up and reveals she's a feyvampwolf with the power to heal all the world's wounds. Just kidding: I wanted everyone to see Anna's sister, who does a lot more stage acting than film. Meet Saluda "Sudie" Camp...

Bloodsucking Fiends?  It's not chick-lit, but Jodi does mention she wanted to lose a few pounds:

I just realized-I'm always going to be a pudgette. I have jeans I'll never get into.  I'm always going to need to lose five pounds.

I just assumed that they kept having Sookie go on and on about giving Bill Hep-V because they were going overboard with  the Hep-V=HIV parallels the guilt of knowing you'd infected someone else.

If it turns him human that might actually be interesting.
