(Outside Online)   Lost girl survives for eleven days in Siberian forest filled with bears and wolves by eating berries, sleeping in a bed made of grass, and huddling with her dog for warmth in freezing temperatures. Oh, and she's only three years old   (outsideonline.com) divider line 17

The usual group will add "Bear Grylls asks if she drank her own pee."

Why don't you put her in charge?

I'm glad there was more than a Shadow of a Chance of her rescue. Sassy.

Her parents realized she was missing four days later ...

Damn. Kids in Siberia really have carte blanche to do whatever they want, don't they?

"Dimitri, have you seen Karina?"
"Today? No."
"Okay. I make borscht for dinner. She'll probably show up."

Heh, this article doesn't explain it well, but a previous one (that I think went red) said that the mom thought the dad took her with him, and the dad thought she was still with the mom.

Subby forgot TIGERS, Siberian tigers are the largest and most aggressive so they're not like the regular tigers a 3 year old could easily fend off.

Again? Siberia must have no shortage of kids getting lost in the woods. Maybe make Hansel and Gretel required reading.

She didn't know enough to not survive.  It's a simpler life.  Eat the berries mom and dad said were OK to eat, sleep with the critter because he's warm.  Sleep on grass because it's soft.   No reason to panic.

Well, that doesn't make the movie in my head very funny, does it? :)

I've actually seen that happen.

The neighbor kid was over playing with the littlebopper one day, and dad left to go do something, and then mom left to go do something, and they both thought he was with the other parent.

He was actually with us.

So we watched him for most of the day, fed him lunch, etc.  No big deal, because we're not in the middle of Siberia.  But boy, were they freakin' *EMBARRASSED* that it happened.  I think the only thing that kept the kid's mom from freaking out was knowing that we're foster parents and definitely wouldn't let him out of our sight if they weren't around.

/Yes, surprisingly, I'm actually a decent guy.
