I've always kind of felt that Firefly was basically like what a show centering around Han Solo could have been like.  This just brings it back full circle.

I don't get the old man hate here.  During the prequel era, no one was questioning Christopher Lee's ability to play Count Dooku...and he was a Sith Lord!

I was questioning Lucas for giving him such a stupid name. Was he evil because he was mercilessly taunted as a child?

Would it be too much to ask to have 1 scene where Han is at a bar having a drink and Mal walks up and sits near him?

Or just 1 scene where Ford and Fillion are in the same frame?
Not saying it has to be anything in depth, but it would be cool.

Back in the 70s when they were auditioning for the role, one of the guys who tried out was Sylvester Stallone. Han would have punched first.

I'm not sure why I'm supposed to be getting a bad feeling about this. It's a somewhat updated but similar look to the character he played in the earlier movies, what's to hate?

Nothing. Like most Boomers (I first saw Ford in the 1973 American Graffiti) I would not bother to watch a movie with his character without him in the role. I LOVED Firefly, but it's a tribute bandfilm. Who cares?

Heard him tell that story on Fallon last night. I did not previously know that tidbit.

Though watching Fallon this week has cemented the feeling I had about him being a fawning puppy dog during interviews. Why do Kimmel AND Dave have to be off at the same time? Ugh.

The funny thing is that most of the people I know that enjoy Star Wars also enjoy Firefly, and would think those concept sketches from TFA would be cool.

He does also seem to act a bit like an excitable star-crazed fan. It gets annoying pretty quickly. For a while now I've had the habit of flipping channels during late shows, so it was only by coincidence that I caught the Stallone interview... well, that and because I hadn't changed the channel after Last Comic Standing. I was not disappointed - Eve Hewson is fiiiiine. :)

With all the shows on at that hour, I'm actually glad to see when some are in reruns. Then I just watch what's new, or others that I missed the first time around.

If Disney is now in charge of the Star Wars franchise, does this mean that Han Solo will sport
huge round black ears?  (I'd be happier if they put the Star Wars Holiday Special on DVD -
and I bet they would be as well; they could say, "See? Someone ELSE screwed up Star Wars
before we did!")

We do not talk about that abomination. Like Star Trek V, it never existed.

Never. Existed.

Han Solo, in pursuit of his Kamino produced clone,

Wow dude, what did Firefly ever do to you? Rape your dog and kill your mother or something. It's a freaking show people enjoy it.
