Rape is the second worst crime, and well deserving of the gallows, but by turning himself in I'm not sure how to feel.

He obviously knows what he did was wrong, but he wants help I guess. Weird. This is why we need insane asylums as well as jails and nooses. Imagine society if he had been able to seek good help for his evil urges BEFORE he raped anyone.

How about we give him a medal, and then throw him in a volcano?

Damn shame that it's so hard to get help for people like this. I can't even imagine what that's like, unable to control yourself from doing something that you know is horrible.

The closest I have is smoking, and at least I have a chemical addiction to partly blame.

jimbelina: This is why i'm glad i have no conscience.

Mark Twain said it first.

So did The Poet Sirrah.

Well, I guess they couldn't both have said it first. But they both said it before you.

Points for being pithier though.

I'm guessing he was finding life too hard and wanted to go live in prison and be provided with three squares a day, and also had rape fantasies.  So he combined them in one activity.

It's possible he may have an existing prison record, and was recently paroled.  Then finds he couldn't hack it and wanted back in prison, so he committed an offense that would guarantee a long, possibly lifetime stay.

Goofus rapes you then lies about it.
Gallant rapes you and admits it.
