Of course, it's totally automated and outsourced. Or unsourced.

I thought they already had a fake news site.

I don't know if the Washington Post is a good arbiter of what is or is not a legitimate news site...

It's Not News, It's FARK NRCC?

Republicans - When you can't win, shamelessly cheat.

Everything else aside, what does this have to do with anything?

Or "Geoff"'s update on the "Duluth Update," crowing that a candidate will "Host Fundraiser With Convicted Child Molester." The criminal being mentioned: Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary.

Just because he's in a classic music group doesn't make his conviction less, uh, convictiony. You could accurately describe Rush Limbaugh as "former (or current) prescription drug abuser Rush Limbaugh" or Lance Armstrong as "Juice Head Lance Armstrong." It's not particularly nice, but it isn't untrue.

Maybe the Onion can parody these "Update" sites just like they did with Buzzfeed/Clickhole

I've always considered all Republicans to be fake news sources.  Why is a web presence any different?

I hope they get sued by a patent troll.

Fair enough. We do have several of those around here:

Conviced felon Dinesh D'Souza
Half-term former governor Sarah Palin
Historical Footnote Mitt Romney
Pants-shiatting draft dodger Ted Nugent

Meh. In election season I get a ton of 'newsletters' and 'survey results'  from various interest groups in the mail. This is the equivalent.

I am shocked, SHOCKED!!, that republicans would stoop to disingenuousness to further their agenda.

But surely the criminal record for child abuse should carry some weight when it comes to planning public events. Quitting A job you campaigned for, like Palin, or being a footnote like Rmoney, are hilarious-evil. Child abuse is evil-evil. Like, it is too evil for the guy to join the Church of Satan, but the Democrats will put him on their guest list? That's bullcrap.

No, it isn't.

I know that Dem operatives can be sleazy, but this sh*t here is just painfully cynical. It's not so much that it exists, but that it will be cited as "news" by untold numbers of the gullible. Thankfully, the chief offenders of fw: FW: FW:BBQ!!APOPLEXY! in my family and friends automatically go to a special gmail folder, so that toxic sludge doesn't cramp my veal cutlet smooth, soulful, inbox style.

Just to point out a couple of things:

He plead guilty,
He did his time,
He was granted a Presidential pardon by Carter.

The groping was of a groupie and her sister who came to his hotel room.  Not sayin', just sayin'.
