Al-Jazeera is right now talking about it. And they are not happy at the police right now.

UNC_Samurai: At what point does the Governor put his foot down?

Jay Nixon put out a statement earlier telling the police to treat the citizens like human beings, essentially

The whole situation as turned into a "my dick is bigger than your dick" show.

I figure in the end, the dick with tear gas and batons is going to win.

Of course, if I owned a QuckTrip that hadn't been burned down yet, that might be the side I was rooting for.

Let the flame war (hey the IRONY of it, flame war) begin.

Put a poorly trained cop in fatigues and look what happens.

Eh they've lost all moral authority and now msm will focus on the militarization of police. Who knows, maybe we'll get some Supreme Court action eventually.

According to the Washington Post, both reporters were taken to a police car where a member of the clergy was also being held, and then transported to a holding cell at the Ferguson police station. The Ferguson police chief was reportedly alerted to their arrests by Matt Pearce, a reporter for the Los Angeles Times. Pearce tweeted that when he informed the police chief of the reporters' arrest, the chief answered "Oh God" and said the riot police were from St. Louis County and likely "didn't know any better."
Nice one chief Gunther Toody!

It seems like any time there is a justified civil action like this the police go over the top. And EVERY SINGLE TIME nothing comes of it.

So, we give military grade weapons and equipment a bunch of guys who have never actually gone through military training, lack the discipline that goes with the military, don't have a definitive chain of command or clear objectives like a military operation and then let them act under the color of law in a volatile situation and then people are surprised this happens?

I wonder how long this situation can last? With the rough handling of the reporters in the MacDonalds and what appears to be targeting the Al-Jazeera crew with teargas, it appears the pressure is getting to law enforcement. The use of german shepards is disconcerting.

Wonder if there's any McDonalds surveillance video of this or has it been taken into 'evidence' and mysteriously erased?
