I was going to suggest this was a three-way with the Wendy's girl, but I think that's a dye job.

I would have never thought a short person would be such a novelty in NYC that multiple people would bother taking a picture of the dude.

I know some little people.
No different than you or me.

Except they get hotter girls.

Crotch shots would be a nice daily distraction.  But he also has to look up people's noses, so it's a trade off.

I have wondered in the past the protocol for offering help to a dwarf in the store.  I mean, obviously don't open with "Hey shorty" but is it considered rude to offer unsolicited help at all?

I saw about 10 people out of 8 million that took notice of him. Boo hoo.

Hell no.  Just stand there and stare and laugh at his antics as he tried to climb up the shelves on isle 5 for some toilet paper.

Pure comedy gold.

Now, now.  Children are curious and don't know any tact in those kind of situations.  I'd just calmly explain that the man was exploring a level 5 dungeon when the evil wizard Frobazz shrunk him with his reducing spell.

Would you help any person reach a higher shelf, without thinking about yourself?

Just offer help when it seems appropriate.  No big deal.

I watched it, but didn't notice if anyone mistook him for Tyrion?
If so, that's a goddamn compliment he should feel lucky to have gotten.

Just be sure he gives you his pot of gold before you give him any actual help.

Actually I'd help him to the top shelf then leave him there.   Get on the PA and say, "Midget stranded on isle 5!"

Cool! Can't wait to watch the video when I get home from work (streaming filters, etc). I've always wondered what it must look like being tossed down a bowling alley.

Don't hold back on spoiler alerts, does he get a strike?

This reminds me of the time I went to Ruby Falls for my sister's birthday.  They have a protocol where people leaving the cave get priority over those entering the cave.  As we enter, we have to stop for one group.  There was a little space my dad could squat in to get out of the way of the other group. My dad can be thoughtful like that.

There were a couple of little people in the other line when that group stopped next to my group.  They came to eye level with my father and gave him the dirtiest looks.

My father chose not to be polite the rest of the night.

As a 6'2'' person, I've always thought it a little strange that I never notice a person's height unless they're taller than me. It makes me think that short people must notice height alllllll the time, so I can understand how that might get a little annoying.

I would notice somebody shorter than 5' I guess, but other than that I'm not a heightist.

No, but he is lowered down a well to save a little girl who was trapped.  So it does have a happy ending.

Yes.  I'm about as close to being a dwarf as you can get nowadays without actually being a dwarf, and it is always rude to offer to help me because I'm short.  It's also rude not to offer to help me, you inconsiderate bastard.  We should folk are pretty testy, basically.

Nah.  You get used to it.  I only notice peoples' height when they're about 6'7 or higher.  Then it is like looking at a mountain.  Otherwise it's just how people have always looked to you.

Kids do that with things they've never seen before.

It's like the first time a white kid sees a black guy, and vice versa.

You wouldn't stare if you saw something you have never seen before?  I guarantee you, this guy would stare if he saw an 8' man walk by.  To a small child with few life experiences, this is a big event. But, I'm actually surprised they included children in this video, most would say they are the most enjoyable to talk to when explaining their differences.  It's the parents that usually make the situation awkward.  Children are honest with their feelings.

I think I knew at that age not to stare at someone as this kid did.

Just be glad you're not a really attractive woman in NYC.  Your video would be 4hours long and there wouldn't be a need for editing out anything.

This video is the epitome of whiny people.  "My life is and was perfect but people treat me different because I am!"

2014-08-14 12:56:53 PM
Eh, he should have left the children out of his video.  They weren't actually mean, they were just expressing innocent curiosity.  The adults on the other hand, yeah, they were twits.

/Although, to be fair, Oklahomans creep out pretty much everyone.

Haven't you noticed? Society is currently in a race to the bottom to identify the "Most Oppressed". I'm not sure what the prize is...
